Role Description This is a remote position. Jax Dirtworks is seeking an experienced Land Survey CAD Drafter to join our team in Northeast Florida. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D and a solid understanding of land surveying principles and practices. - Create accurate as-built plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D based on field survey data - Process and interpret survey data and field notes for input into AutoCAD Civil 3D - Draft various types of surveys including as-built, boundary, and topographic surveys - Generate CAD surface models and 3D terrain models - Prepare construction staking data and point files for field crews - Research land records and monument records to support survey projects - Collaborate with Professional Land Surveyors and field staff to interpret project requirements - Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications Qualifications - Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a CAD drafter in land surveying or applicable classwork - Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with experience in land survey-specific software preferred - Strong understanding of land surveying principles and practices - Ability to read and interpret construction plans and legal descriptions - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting - Strong organizational and time management skills - Associate's degree in drafting, land surveying, or related field preferred Benefits - Competitive salary based on experience - Health, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) retirement plan - Paid time off and holidays - Professional development opportunities
