Role Description The Licensed Psychologist Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the clinical practice and professional development of psychologists and psychology trainees within the organization. This position ensures that all psychological services meet ethical, legal, and professional standards while fostering a supportive and educational environment. The supervisor provides guidance, mentorship, and evaluation to clinicians, promoting best practices and evidence-based interventions. They are responsible for maintaining compliance with state licensing board requirements and organizational policies. Ultimately, this role contributes to the delivery of high-quality psychological care and the advancement of the psychology practicum trainee's competencies. Supervisory Responsibilities - Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to psychology practicum trainees, ensuring adherence to ethical and professional standards. - Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support professional growth and skill development. - Review and approve clinical documentation, treatment plans, and case notes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Qualifications - Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited institution. - Current and valid license to practice psychology in Texas. - Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines, state laws, and professional standards governing psychological practice. Requirements - Previous experience in providing clinical supervision to psychology trainees or licensed psychologists. - Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation software. - Advanced training or certification in supervision or clinical teaching.
