Role Description This is a remote position. The International Hotel School Distance (online) Campus is looking for a Hospitality Management Lecturer to join our academic team. The purpose of the role is to facilitate, offer student support and share your passion for the hospitality industry with students. The application of sound assessment principles and meeting higher education standards. - Meet the institutional required pass rate and throughput standard - Marking assessments and provide feedback to students - Responsible for student “at risk” tracking, counselling and support - Partake in curriculum development and improvement reviews - Meet the required Industry time and research outputs - Ensure the Student satisfaction survey institutional standard is met - Conduct administrative tasks related to the modules facilitated - Involvement in professional activities and research into industry trends - Facilitating Online Discussions and forums - Staying up to date with online facilitation practices Qualifications - A Masters (NQF Level 9) or Honors (NQF 8) hospitality qualification essential - Initial bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) Qualification needs to be in Hospitality - A Minimum of 5 years relevant, Industry experience - A minimum of 2 years lecturing / teaching experience within higher education - Online facilitation experience beneficial - Proficient in Learning Management Systems and MS Office computer software - Curriculum and assessment knowledge - Strong admin ability Requirements - Experience in providing student support - Experienced facilitator - Knowledge of academic compliance within the higher educational sector - Proficient in computer software, apps, social media, and technology in general - Passion for the company’s mission - Positive attitude and endurance - Extreme attention to detail - Organised, efficient, and accurate in performance - Skilled communicator - Patient and helpful

• Facilitate Webinar sessions supported by presentations to deliver the curriculum and guide the assessment task and project. • Provide student support between webinar sessions when required by students. • Provide constructive and timely feedback on student assessment tasks and project submissions and ensure academic integrity is upheld. • Grade assessment tasks/projects in line with the institutional policy timeline and the administrative tasks associated. • Partake in Programme coordinator meetings when required, and provide constructive feedback to improve the curriculum, assessment tasks and programmme offering. • Conduct administrative tasks related to the modules facilitated
