Role Description Responsible for supporting the activities of the Statewide Family Engagement Center grant including grant implementation, partnership development, program coordination, staff support, and evaluation activities. This position collaborates with staff to ensure successful execution of SFEC goals, deliverables, and family engagement initiatives and other competitive nongovernmental grants. Qualifications - A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. - Prior experience expected in community action, school/family leadership, advocacy for underserved populations, promotion of initiatives, grant reporting, and program management. - Familiarity and comfort with targeted unserved neighborhoods and communities in need of outreach is essential. - Excellent project management, community motivation, oral and written communication, and problem-solving skills are required. - Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines. - Computer, software, and record-keeping skills are required. - Ability to work effectively and motivate school personnel, family members, community leaders, and the general public. - Strong self-discipline and motivation. Requirements - Work is performed in a variety of settings. - Ability to attend events in person and manage stressful situations. - Evening and weekend work is required occasionally as is travel within the state of Indiana. Key Areas of Accountability - Grant Management - Monitors timelines and progress on objectives of Statewide Family Engagement grant. - Assures the provision of training to targeted groups. - Monitors data collection procedures for grant reporting. - Contributes to annual and interim progress reports. - Network Development - Fosters meaningful engagement in the project at the LEA level. - Manages the membership of the Advisory Committee. - Facilitates asset mapping of community resources. - Maintains state and national connections. - Contributes to website content. - Coordinate bilingual services. - Professional Development and Event Planning - Schedules and facilitates professional development with contractors. - Collaborates to host family engagement conferences and events. - Tracks professional development provided at school sites. - Manage the youth development and fundraising activities in grants. - Research and Administration - Promotes models of effectiveness related to family engagement. - Collaboratively participates in the preparation and dissemination of newsletters and other communications. - Collaborates with the Business Director and Executive Secretary to complete financial, clerical and promotional activities. - Maintains systems of accountability for partner LEA performance.
