Hypebeast is looking for a young, hungry, culturally-connected, and creative Social Editor (Entry Level) to join our team for Hypebeast Arabia. We are looking for a bilingual, “social first” storyteller who is deeply passionate about fashion, culture, and lifestyle. The ideal candidate possesses a natural ability to anticipate cultural movements and uses those insights to engage our audience, specifically bridging the gap between English and Arabic speaking communities to increase the reach and impact of the Hypebeast Arabia brand. Responsibilities: - Content Curation: Skilled at identifying and curating Hypebeast-related content that resonates with both local Middle Eastern and international audiences. - Bilingual Storytelling: Lead the platform's transition to a bilingual model by drafting all copy and narratives fluently in both English and Arabic. - Content Creation: Produce high-quality, social-first content, including the creation of simple yet engaging Reels and comprehensive event recaps. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the regional Commercial team to support key partnerships and campaigns, ensuring social output aligns with broader business priorities while maintaining editorial integrity. - Event Coverage: Attend and cover key industry events to provide real-time updates and "boots on the ground" perspective for the Hypebeast community. - Trend Monitoring: Monitor social media networks for breaking news and viral content to ensure Hypebeast Arabia remains at the forefront of cultural conversations. - Platform Performance: Work to enhance performance by adapting to updates in audience behavior and social media algorithms. Requirements: - Bilingual Fluency: Native-level oral and written communication skills in both English and Arabic are required. - Storytelling Excellence: Strong storytelling abilities with the creative flair to translate fashion and lifestyle trends into compelling social narratives. - Content Production: Experience in creating social media content, including basic video/reel editing skills. - Commercial Awareness: An understanding of how social content can support brand partnerships and regional initiatives, while maintaining a strong editorial voice. - Event Availability: Ability and willingness to attend events for content capture and brand representation. - Cultural Connection: A deep-seated passion for HYPEBEAST content and an understanding of the cultural landscape at a local and international level. - Creative Tools: Strong familiarity with photography and creative tools such as Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Canva. - Mobility: Based in the UAE with the ability to travel locally for events and content capture; a driving licence is preferred.
