HomeVision is the AI underwriting platform for the $13 trillion U.S. mortgage industry. Our platform, MIRA, has already automated more than two million appraisal reviews for many of the country’s largest lenders and appraisal management companies, reducing review time by 75% and doubling underwriter productivity. Now we’re expanding beyond appraisal review into the full underwriting workflow, including income, assets, credit, collateral, and loan file decisioning, to create the first end-to-end AI underwriting utility for the industry. We’re doing this alongside real enterprise customers with contracted production demand, including Newrez, the fourth-largest mortgage lender in the U.S. and a strategic investor in the company. We’re also backed by Initialized Capital and NVP Capital. We’ve been building AI systems in this space well before “AI company” became a trendy label. The recent acceleration of agentic systems and AI tooling has only expanded the scale of what’s now possible. We’re looking for a principal-level frontend/product engineer to help define the interaction layer between humans and AI throughout the underwriting process. You will partner directly with our Head of Design, our CTO, and senior product leadership to shape the core interaction model of the platform, not just implement them. What you’ll do - Define the future of AI-assisted underwriting. Design and build workflows that help underwriters, processors, and loan officers confidently work alongside AI systems and build trust. Create intuitive UX patterns for explainability, auditability, exception handling, and human-in-the-loop review. - Own the cross-platform frontend and design system. Lead the evolution of our frontend platform across web and future embedded experiences, including in-document review and lender integrations. Architect components so the team can ship faster as we scale. - Raise the technical bar. Establish the frontend patterns, libraries, and review standards the rest of the engineering team builds against. Mentor and recruit the engineers who will work alongside you. - Ship fast and learn faster. Take features from rough ideas to production in days, not weeks. Watch how customers actually use them and rapidly iterate. - Drive tools and process improvement. Share ideas and test tools that accelerate prototyping to production at higher velocity and quality. What you’ll bring on the technical side - Deep proficiency in React and TypeScript, and a clear sense of how to architect front-end systems that can extend and scale. - Comfort working across the stack when it matters — you can read and reason about our Go/Python backend even if you don’t live there. - Experience building AI-native interfaces or complex, data-dense applications. Bonus if you’ve worked on document review, decisioning, or workflow products. - Track record of leading a product surface end-to-end — not just features. • Own product outcomes from ideation to launch, including business case development, roadmap prioritization, requirements definition, execution, post-launch measurement, and continuous improvement. • Work directly with mortgage lending customers to understand workflow pain points, operational constraints, underwriting practices, compliance considerations, and adoption barriers. • Synthesize messy, ambiguous, and sometimes conflicting customer feedback into clear product themes, prioritized opportunities, and actionable engineering requirements. • Engage credibly with multiple customer stakeholders, including frontline underwriters, operations leaders, product/technology teams, and executive management. • Help customers and internal teams separate feedback into the right levels of abstraction — immediate bugs, workflow friction, product gaps, process issues, adoption needs, and longer-term strategic opportunities — and align on what matters now versus later. • Partner with engineering to define clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and expected system behavior for complex mortgage workflows. • Wear many hats: oversee product launches, help define operational processes, and coordinate with customer-facing teams to drive successful product adoption. • Become the subject matter expert for your product area, staying up to date on mortgage industry trends, lending workflows, underwriting practices, AI automation capabilities, and relevant compliance considerations. • Use a data-driven mindset to identify product opportunities, evaluate product performance, and communicate the value created for customers.

• Build and maintain infrastructure for our SaaS products on AWS using Terraform • Handle IT tasks such as onboarding and account provisioning • Tackle software projects for our products - typically related to authentication, reliability, observability and other platform concerns

• Analytics Engineering • Build and maintain dbt models in our Redshift analytics environment. • Ensure our data pipelines are accurate, well-documented, and scalable. • Understand the goals of our customers and provide them with the tools to reach their operational goals through software configuration and management decisions. • Enhance the usability and feature set of our customer facing reporting suite of tools. • Investigate and resolve data-related inquiries from clients. • Partner closely with product, customer success, engineering, and leadership to understand needs and deliver insights driving product direction and improving product performance. • Contribute to a data-driven culture by making metrics accessible and actionable.
