The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business growth within an assigned portfolio of target accounts. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and securing new customer relationships by positioning Henny Penny’s products and services as the preferred solution for prospective partners who do not yet do business with us. Success in this role directly contributes to revenue growth and expands Henny Penny’s presence in the foodservice industry. What We're Looking For - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. - 5–7 years of proven new business development experience, ideally in the foodservice equipment industry. - A hunter mentality—self‑driven, motivated, and committed to achieving results. - Strong prospecting, selling, negotiating, and closing skills. - Excellent time management, organization, and forecasting abilities. - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including comfort presenting to executive audiences. - Proficiency with common business technologies, including Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and web-based tools. - Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments. - Willingness to travel up to 75%. - Ability to lift or carry a laptop/iPad and sales materials up to 25 lbs. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, business-focused insights for leaders.
