• Set technical direction for performance across Helius' most latency-critical systems, influencing architecture and engineering standards company-wide • Profile, tune, and optimize the low-level Rust services that power traders and financial institutions • Design systems for low-latency environments where microseconds matter • Lead cross-team initiatives to identify and eliminate systemic performance bottlenecks • Own foundational systems end-to-end and keep them simple, reliable, and easy to operate • Mentor engineers and raise the bar on performance engineering and operational rigor

• Lead the technical direction for Gatekeeper as the unified entry point for Helius traffic, with an emphasis on p50/p99 latency and tail reliability. • Design and implement routing and load balancing strategies across regions and backend pools, including failover behavior and graceful degradation. • Improve connection handling end-to-end: TLS termination, keepalives, pooling, timeouts, backpressure, and request/response streaming behavior. • Build robust, operator-friendly observability: SLOs, dashboards, alerts, and “is it healthy?” views that make issues diagnosable fast. • Partner with internal service teams to define and enforce contracts (timeouts, retries, error mapping, capacity signals), and reduce systemic failure modes. • Drive hardening work across security and abuse controls (auth failure behavior, rate limiting / caps enforcement, request validation). • Own production operations for Gatekeeper: incident response, on-call improvements, runbooks, and post-incident follow-through. • Mentor engineers and raise the bar on performance engineering, operational rigor, and code quality.

• Architect and lead development of high-throughput, low-latency streaming systems that power our core products • Drive the technical roadmap for streaming — including filtered streams, next-generation webhooks, and new capabilities that expand what developers can build on Solana • Lead system design discussions and make architectural decisions across the stack: software, hardware, and networking • Set standards for operational excellence — reliability, incident response, and system observability • Mentor and elevate engineers on the team, and drive technical consensus across engineering, product, and leadership • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Support, and adjacent infrastructure teams to ensure streaming products meet the needs of customers at scale • Identify and solve complex, ambiguous problems that span multiple systems

• Architect and lead the development of ingestion, indexing, and retrieval systems across our archival infrastructure • Drive technical strategy for API performance, reliability, and scalability across high-throughput services • Design and optimize data models and query patterns for ClickHouse, Postgres, and RocksDB at scale • Lead system design discussions and make architectural decisions on caching, distributed data patterns, and performance trade-offs • Set standards for operational excellence, debugging methodologies, and performance profiling across production systems • Mentor senior engineers and elevate the team's technical capabilities • Partner with leadership on long-term technical roadmap and infrastructure investments • Identify and drive solutions to complex, ambiguous problems that span multiple systems
