Hazel partners with school districts and health plans to make physical and mental health care more accessible to K–12 students. Our licensed providers deliver virtual therapy and medical services to more than four million students, at school or at home, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. As a member of Hazel’s Mental Health team, you will help expand access to evidence-based care in schools across North Carolina. The Role We are seeking independently licensed therapists in North Carolina who are passionate about working with children and families. In this role, you will provide high-quality virtual mental health services to students within our partner school districts and health plans. You will collaborate with families, school staff, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated, accessible care. Schedule Minimum 10 client caseload with sessions during North Carolina peak hours: Monday–Friday, 4:00pm–7:00pm EST What You’ll Do - Provide evidence-based teletherapy to children (ages 5–17) and their families - Deliver interventions such as CBT, Exposure Therapy for Anxiety and other evidence-based modalities - Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation (intakes, treatment plans, progress notes) using our platform Minimum Qualifications - Master’s-level therapist independently licensed in North Carolina (LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, or equivalent) - Clinical experience providing psychotherapy to children and families - Demonstrated experience treating common pediatric mental health conditions using evidence-based approaches - Comfortable delivering care virtually and using technology in clinical practice If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every qualification, we encourage you to apply. Check us out at Hazel Health Careers. The Role: As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will support the Director of Revenue cycle management in various functions of the Hazel Revenue Operations team. You will concentrate on specific regions and payors supporting the revenue cycle team by reconciling accounts, follow-up up on rejected/outstanding claims, and collaborate with third-party partners on data and clarification requests. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with payers and team members are crucial for success in this role at Hazel Health. Additionally, this role requires experience with eligibility and claims adjudication for multiple states’ Medicaid, Managed Medicaid, and commercial plans. What You’ll Do: - Monitor AR aging by region to identify overdue accounts and coordinate follow-ups. - Use spreadsheets to track and analyze regional data. - Reconcile AR regularly to resolve discrepancies and denials. - Address payer inquiries and resolve payment issues through the appeals process. - Identify and implement improvements in billing and AR processes. - Ensure billing/AR practices align with accounting principles and regulations. - Make follow-up calls to payors as needed. - Verify insurance benefits, medical necessity, and authorization guidelines, following established processes. - Interpret EOBs/ERAs and resolve related issues. - Document all information correctly in patient accounts. - Communicate with insurance providers to validate benefits and check authorization status. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards. - Perform other duties as assigned. The Role: The Provider Onboarding and Credentialing Associate is responsible for managing the administrative functions related to onboarding, credentialing, and ongoing maintenance of Hazel Health’s provider network. The associate partners closely with internal teams and external vendors to deliver a smooth onboarding experience, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and support network readiness to ensure high-quality patient care. Please note that this is a contract role. Location: Remote Pay rate: $40/hour What You’ll Do: Provider Onboarding & Activation - Coordinate end-to-end onboarding for new providers, ensuring timely setup across all required platforms and systems - Collect, track, and proactively follow up on outstanding or incomplete documentation to maintain compliance and onboarding timelines - Accurately enter, update, and maintain provider records in Salesforce and CertifyOS, ensuring data integrity and completeness - Activate providers in alignment with confirmed start dates to ensure operational readiness Provider Credentialing - Manage and monitor credentialing applications to ensure completion prior to providers’ tentative start dates - Create, update, and maintain accurate provider records and CAQH profiles to support credentialing and payer enrollment processes - Collaborate and coordinate with Hazels’ CVO to ensure that SLA’s are met and provider’s credentials remain compliant If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
