The Project Monitor, Worksite Safety will monitor assigned projects of Harris County Housing & Community Development and Harris County Flood Control Department, to ensure compliance with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Texas General Land Office (GLO). Reduce recordable worksite incidents by 15% through compliance oversight, corrective action tracking, and coordination with infrastructure departments. Duties and Responsibilities: - Complaint Intake & Case Management: Receive, document, and track worksite safety complaints in accordance with Worksite Safety Policy procedures. - Investigation of Complaints: Conduct administrative investigations of reported worksite safety concerns, including gathering documentation, interviewing relevant parties, and coordinating with infrastructure departments for verification of findings. - Compliance Review & Monitoring: Monitor contractor compliance with Worksite Safety Policy requirements through documentation review, reporting systems, and coordination with infrastructure departments. - Corrective Action Plan (CAP) Oversight: Review, evaluate, and track contractor Corrective Action Plans to ensure timely resolution of identified safety issues and policy violations. - Coordination with Infrastructure Departments: Collaborate with Harris County infrastructure departments (Engineering, Flood Control, Toll Road Authority, etc.) regarding reporting findings and enforcement actions. - Enforcement Support: Support enforcement actions by documenting non-compliance, preparing case files, and coordinating with appropriate departments for resolution. - Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of complaints, investigations, compliance status, corrective actions, and outcomes in designated systems of record. - Program Support & Continuous Improvement: Identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities to strengthen Worksite Safety Policy implementation. - Training & Outreach Support: Support internal and external education efforts related to Worksite Safety Policy requirements and worker protections. Position Overview: Under moderate supervision, the WIC Certification Specialist II (WCS) provides specialized services to promote health and support the operations of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
