Role Description The Manager - Finance & Accounting is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations across R-Cities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely month-end and year-end close processes, and high-quality financial information across the organization’s global entities. Working closely with the Finance Lead, the role supports the continued development of a strong, well-controlled finance function and contributes to improving accounting processes, systems, and internal controls. - Run day-to-day accounting and the monthly close across R-Cities' entities. - Maintain the general ledger with accurate and timely recording of transactions. - Process accounts payable, receivable, and expenses with correct coding. - Oversee month-end and year-end close for each entity. - Manage the financial side of payroll and Employer-of-Records. - Handle intercompany accounting, reconciliation, and eliminations. - Conduct multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange treatment. - Implement internal accounting controls and procedures. - Coordinate statutory reporting, tax compliance, and annual audit processes. - Maintain and improve financial systems and controls. - Prepare accurate, timely financial reports and reconciliations. Qualifications - At least five years of progressive accounting experience. - Strong technical accounting across the full accounting cycle. - Working knowledge of either Dutch or US accounting standards. - Experience coordinating statutory reporting, tax compliance, and external audits. - Experience with accounting in organizations that operate internationally. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clear documentation. - Fluent in English, written and verbal. Requirements - Familiarity with both the Dutch and US accounting environments. - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. - Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidation. - Proficiency with Sage Intacct or a comparable cloud-based ERP. - Affinity with R-Cities' mission and values.
