JOB DESCRIPTION: Analytical Chemist (Remote) Location: Fully Remote Budget: Competitive / Open (Commensurate with experience) Experience Required: 2 – 5 Years with specialized Pesticide Analysis experience ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking a meticulous and highly technical Analytical Chemist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role focuses on the high-level interpretation of complex chemical data to drive organizational decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mass spectrometry and a proven track record in method optimization and cross-functional collaboration. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Data Analysis & Interpretation: Lead the comprehensive analysis of data sets generated from LC-MS and GC-MS instrumentation, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and data integrity. Strategic Support: Interpret analytical results to provide actionable insights and technical recommendations that support critical business processes. Collaborative Method Development: Partner with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize robust analytical methods to enhance testing efficiency. Technical Excellence: Proactively stay updated with the latest advancements, emerging methodologies, and innovative techniques in the field of analytical chemistry. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Education: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline. Analytical Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience specifically in the analysis of data from LC-MS and GC-MS instruments. Technical Proficiency: Essential hands-on or data-level experience with HPLC and ICP-MS platforms. Preferred Domain Expertise: Prior experience in food sample analysis is highly preferred. Pesticide Analysis (Specialized Track): Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in the pesticide analysis space are highly encouraged to apply (and meet the minimum experience requirement). • Review, approve, or hold analytical and microbiology lab reports • Ensure reports meet accuracy, quality, and turnaround time standards • Review raw data (chromatograms, microbiology results, plate images) • Investigate Out-of-Specification (OOS) results and identify root causes • Prepare CAPA and Corrective Action Reports when required • Track trends, deviations, and recurring issues • Collaborate with internal teams on report corrections and escalations • Maintain clear and compliant documentation
