Title: Faculty in School Psychology, Program Director Location: 1717 S Chestnut Ave, Fresno, CA Status/Time Commitment: Full-time with faculty rank, term appointment with option of tenure-track, 11-month appointment The School Psychology program at Fresno Pacific University serves the PreK-12 educational community throughout the state offering both in-person and online program options. Additionally, the program offers an approved program for Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and has courses required for the BCBA available to the School Psychology program students. School Psychology graduates are well prepared and highly desired in the educational community in California’s Central Valley and throughout the State of California. This role is eligible for hybrid work in Central California. Courses will be taught online and in person meetings will be required. Essential Functions - Provide leadership for the school psychology program - Organize the curriculum and develop the step for continuous improvement to meet the accreditation requirements for CTC - Plan, monitor, and organize the program assessment to meet accreditation requirements - Teach curriculum within the School Psychology program - Interview, recruit, and advise candidates - Conduct program exit examinations and portfolio reviews - Actively market the School Psychology program - Work directly with area schools to develop MOUs, identify supervisors, and secure placements for practicum and internship students - Curriculum development and accreditation support in preparation for CTC - Take a leadership role in course delivery, development, and integration - Lead ongoing program assessment and evaluation - Develop course schedule and Ed Plans - Meet with students regularly, respond to daily emails and other student needs - New faculty recruitment, onboarding, and orientation - Plan, monitor, and organize the assessment sequence of the program - Attend department meetings - Attend monthly caucus meetings and other necessary meetings - Provide direct support to local area schools and children in keeping with the CTC requirements for school psychology faculty members - Maintain professional memberships and professional development - Consult with the Dean of School of Graduate and Professional Studies on a frequent basis - Travel to and attend SELPA meetings, local school districts and schools as needed - Demonstrate a commitment to serving and inspiring students in an academic context that integrates your Christian faith and learning. - Embrace the mission, vision, and values of Fresno Pacific University, affirm the FPU Faith Expectations, and support the ideals and practices articulated in "The Fresno Pacific Idea” - Other job duties as assigned Required: - Earned terminal degree in Psychology or Education - Minimum of three years of experience as a School Psychologist - Current credential in School Psychology in the State of California - Successful school psychology and leadership experience - Ability to demonstrate a commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds - Experience and sensitivity in managing people in complex organizational skills - Administrative experience managing programs for working adults - Experience with the development of extensive networks and connections with external stakeholders - Commitment to the Christian faith and the University’s mission of Christ-centered teaching and learning and involvement in a local church. Preferred: - Membership in a Mennonite Brethren or Anabaptist congregation - Record or promise of scholarly achievement Environmental Conditions: - Indoors in a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes at least eighty percent (80%) of the time. - Frequent computer use at a workstation, up to eight hours per day. - Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions. - Drive personal or University vehicles to appointments. - Public contact position requiring professional apparel, personal hygiene, and grooming. $85,770.88 to $120,963 is the annual starting salary for this role and reflects what Fresno Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
