Role Description The nurse practitioner will provide high quality healthcare services to patients through our school-based telehealth program. The NP evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and educates patients while collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical judgement, technology skills, and the ability to build rapport in a virtual environment. Previous experience as a nurse practitioner is strongly encouraged. Qualifications - Current Missouri Advanced Practice Nurse licensure as a Nurse Practitioner according to MO State Board of Nursing. - Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence. Performs prospective chart reviews to ensure medical record accurately reflects the patient’s level of service, severity of illness and risk of mortality. Works closely with Medical Staff to clarify, assist and educate with documentation of evaluation and management coding. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting, (ICU, Medical/Surgical or Emergency Department nursing preferred). - If homebound, must reside in one of the following states: Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri or Oklahoma. - Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. Role Description The Therapist within the Psychiatric Practices is responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice in the provision of therapeutic services. The Therapist is responsible for delivering a full range of outpatient services remotely, through utilization of telehealth services. The Therapist provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance use and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. The Therapist demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. The Therapist will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. The Therapist will be familiar with electronic medical records and can provide evidence-based services across a range of virtual audio/visual electronic medical records systems. The Therapist reports to the Assistant Director of Adult Psychiatric Practices. Responsibilities - Responsible for providing individual, group, marital, and family counseling in alignment with contractual agreement. - Completes diagnostic intake assessments to ensure medical necessity is present and provides appropriate referrals based on client needs. - Develops individualized treatment plans within expected time frame, consistent with evidence-based practices. - Provides crisis services for patients during regular daytime operations. - Adheres to system quality and documentation standards as identified by accrediting agencies, Center and program policies and procedures, and local, state and federal guidelines. - Displays willingness to assist with needs of other programs or services. - Displays professionalism with clients, colleagues and administrative staff. - Responsible for regularly collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of providers within Psychiatric Practices and other program components of the Center. - Perform all other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements - Normal office environment. - Typical demands include prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, stooping, and occasional lifting. - Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed. - Requires ability to remain calm during stressful events, to occasionally work irregular hours, and work with exasperated individuals. - TB test upon hire.
