Role Description The Product Specialist conducts comprehensive research and analyzes domestic and international markets to identify new opportunities and drive business growth with current and potential customers. This role maximizes business opportunities with key accounts in the U.S. and Canada. - Support the development of new programs with customers and launch products. - Implement adjustments to the current portfolio, release of new part numbers and product lines. - Respond to RFQs by conducting analyses of costs, investments, and contribution margins to ensure strategic alignment and profitability. - Contribute to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying customer needs; monitoring competitive products; analyzing trends and relying on customer reactions. - Provide information regarding product specifications and attributes. - Work alongside Commercial, Logistics, Operations, and Procurement teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improvement of competitiveness. - Monitor and report on competitor activities and strategies. - Provide MKT reports with detailed information regarding the production of vehicles, trends, macroeconomics, and others. - Update the catalog database. - Participate in the development of the annual sales plan and marketing plan as required. - Review, analyze, and communicate internally competitor’s data as required. - Develop and manage cross-reference databases to ensure accurate part number interchanges with global competitors. - Conduct market price screenings to help the headquarters in driving competitive pricing strategies and ensuring precise market positioning. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in a similar role. - Knowledge of the automotive and aftermarket parts industry – Powertrain. - Experience in market research. - Ability to develop and manage price and quality comparison analysis across product lines. - Experience in project development and management, as well as marketing strategy design. - Excellent time management skills in planning and organization. - Future and result-oriented combined with intercultural competencies. - Ability to work in a matrix organization with multiple reporting lines across different countries. - Intermediate Spanish proficiency is desirable. Requirements - The work can be performed remotely if the candidate is unable to relocate to the areas where we have operations (Atlanta, GA; Prattville, AL; Auburn Hills, MI). - Availability for domestic and international travel. - Depending on the professional's seniority and experience, we are willing to expand the salary range. - Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. - Future sponsorship for work authorization is unavailable. - Candidates who have been offered the position must pass screenings before their start date.
