Type: Part-Time (45 Hours Bi-weekly) Hours: Varies Shift: Varies Pay: $52.87 - $69.91 / Hour depending upon years of experience Job Summary: The Technologist will process the day-to-day activities and workflow on a given shift within the lab. This will include ensuring SOPs, practices, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations are followed. Responsibilities: - Triaging and performing product testing - Ensuring optimal product inventory levels - Overseeing quality control on automated testing instruments - Identifying and implementing process improvements Requirements: - Valid NYS License for Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Knowledgeable in both NYSDOH and Joint Commission Regulatory requirements for Blood Bank - Minimum of 5 years experience in Transfusion Medicine - Knowledge of a computerized laboratory information system - Ability to interpret lab results and prepare slides for study - Effective communication skills - Bachelor's Degree required
