Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Remote Bookkeeper to manage financial records, ensure accuracy in reporting, and support day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently in a work-from-home environment. Key Responsibilities - Maintain and update financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments - Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial statements - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable - Prepare and send invoices; follow up on outstanding payments - Assist with payroll processing and expense tracking - Generate financial reports (profit & loss, balance sheets, cash flow) - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies - Assist with tax preparation by organizing financial data - Communicate with clients, vendors, or internal teams as needed Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent - Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) - Strong understanding of basic accounting principles - High attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Requirements - Part-Time: Typically 10–25 hours per week - Full-Time: 30–40 hours per week - Flexible hours depending on company needs - Hourly or salary-based (depending on experience and workload) - Potential for bonuses or performance incentives Benefits - Health, dental, and vision insurance (if applicable) - Paid time off and holidays - Retirement plan options - Professional development opportunities
