Position Summary As the Sr. Security Engineer during this 16 week assessment and optional implementation you will drive the integration of security risk reduction directly into our stabilization roadmaps. Unlike traditional models that treat security as a parallel track, your work is embedded within the core operational strategy. You will ensure that as we modernize and stabilize infrastructure, the security posture is strengthened, not sidelined. Key Responsibilities - Conduct structured interviews with partner organizations, operational teams, and technical stakeholders. - Documents end‑to‑end operational workflows and surface implicit, non‑documented practices. - Identify workflow fragility zones, handoff risks, and transition‑period vulnerabilities. - Map business operations to their technical dependencies to assess stability and exposure. - Evaluate partner readiness throughout the transition period, including capability, staffing, and process maturity. - Recommend interim stabilization guardrails that reflect practical operational constraints. - Synthesize findings into actionable recommendations for continuity planning and transition execution. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field. - 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or IT Risk Management with federal or state and local systems. - Proven experience in federal or public sector environments requiring: - Governance Risk & Compliance alignment - Vendor Risk Assessment readiness - Operational hardening initiatives - Infrastructure remediation planning - Strong knowledge of security regulations and standards. - Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. - Proficiency in security technologies and software. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. - Must reside in the Continental US; located in the state of Pennsylvania a plus, but not required. - Depending on the government agency, specific requirements may include public trust background check or security clearance. Preferred Qualifications - Certification in CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA. - Deep familiarity with frameworks such as NIST 800-53, FISMA, or SOC2 within a government context. - Experience working within the State/Commonwealth is a plus. $150,000 - $180,000 a year The likely salary range for this position is $150,000-$180,000. Position Summary The Sr. Product Manager Lead serves as the primary technical authority and strategic advisor for a large scale modernization and migration project. In this high-impact role, you will be personally accountable for the integrity of assessments and the quality of all technical recommendations. Unlike traditional project management roles, you will engage directly with the system developers, maintainers, partners, and users to shape recommendations—ensuring senior-level expertise is applied throughout the modernization l lifecycle without the use of intermediaries. Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage the comprehensive 16-week assessment plan focused on operational stability and modernization readiness from inception to delivery with an option to continue on to implementation. - Lead the identification of architectural risks and develop robust mitigation strategies. - Review and validate all stabilization recommendations to ensure technical feasibility and long-term viability. - Ensure coexistence strategies are perfectly aligned with Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) modernization efforts. - Provide high-level briefings and strategic advice to executive stakeholders, translating complex technical findings into actionable business insights. - Ensure all outputs are disciplined, technically credible, and informed by rigorous risk analysis. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. - 7+ years of professional experience in technical leadership or advisory roles. - 7+ years of experience in: - Legacy system modernization advisory. - Enterprise architecture assessment. - Infrastructure transition and decoupling strategies. - Risk mitigation planning. - Governance-aligned program leadership. - Proven track record in: - Complex interdependent application environments. - Application and infrastructure modernization. - Modernization and migration planning and roadmapping. - Security and operational stabilization during modernization. - Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional product teams to ensure that the product vision and goals align while providing guidance and support throughout the product lifecycle. - Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you must adapt to shifting personalities and navigate new challenges. - Strong knowledge of modern technologies and agile methodologies, focusing on delivering user value and maintaining a high-quality user experience. - Demonstrated ability to make data-informed decisions, effectively communicate (written and verbal), and manage change with diverse stakeholders. - US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. - Must reside in the Continental US; located in the state of Pennsylvania a plus, but not required. - Depending on the government agency, specific requirements may include public trust background check or security clearance. This role supports a structured 16-week technical assessment with an optional follow up implementation phase focused on strengthening existing data practices, identifying system dependencies, and ensuring data integrity throughout the modernization lifecycle. Element's approach prioritizes data reliability and operational continuity over large-scale redesign. Rather than introducing unnecessary transformation layers, this role focuses on strengthening current data management practices, identifying integrity risks, and sequencing improvements that support coexistence between legacy and modern systems. Key Responsibilities - Evaluating applications and data environments against data architecture best practices and risk mitigation strategies for managing legacy data throughout the modernization lifecycle. - Analyzing and documenting data dependencies that impact system decoupling, modularization, and coexistence strategies. - Identifying data integrity risks within current systems, databases, and operational workflows. - Assessing data flow patterns, database relationships, and integration points across interconnected applications. - Documenting existing data management practices and identifying opportunities to strengthen reliability and governance. - Collaborating with infrastructure and architecture teams to ensure data considerations are integrated into stabilization and modernization planning. - Producing clear findings and recommendations as part of the 16-week technical assessment deliverables. - Leading the implementation of approved data management improvements in Phase 2, ensuring changes enhance reliability while preserving operational continuity. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Systems, or a related field. - This individual brings 8+ professional experience in data engineering, database architecture, or enterprise data platform management. - Strong expertise in: - Data architecture and modeling. - Database management (SQL, NoSQL) and integration strategies. - Data quality, governance, and risk mitigation. - Experience with legacy system modernization, system decoupling, and modularization initiatives. - Proven ability to lead technical projects and implement data improvements across complex environments. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear recommendations for business and technical stakeholders. - US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. - Must reside in the Continental US; located in the state of Pennsylvania a plus, but not required. - Depending on the government agency, specific requirements may include public trust background check or security clearance. Position Summary The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) serves as the Technical Architecture & Stability Assessment Lead responsible for evaluating the reliability, scalability, and operational resilience of complex enterprise infrastructure environments. This role supports a structured 16-week technical assessment and optional implementation phase focused on identifying stability risks, mapping infrastructure dependencies, and strengthening existing architecture to support operational continuity during modernization initiatives. Element’s approach prioritizes practical stabilization over unnecessary redesign. Rather than introducing large-scale architectural transformations, this role emphasizes reinforcing the current infrastructure to withstand coexistence pressures and operational demands while sequencing improvements responsibly. Key Responsibilities - Conducting current-state infrastructure mapping across application, platform, and hosting layers, documenting and recommending improvements. - Performing dependency and integration analysis across interconnected enterprise systems. - Identifying single points of failure and systemic reliability risks. - Supporting datacenter transition modeling and infrastructure transition sequencing. - Conducting Citrix dependency analysis and migration sequencing recommendations. - Evaluating system performance, scalability, and operational resilience under high-volume workloads. - Providing modularization and decoupling recommendations to reduce operational fragility and support phased modernization and migration efforts. - Advising on supporting operations and development teams on continuity strategies that allow legacy and modern systems to operate reliably in tandem during modernization and migrations. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - This individual brings 10+ years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, or enterprise platform architecture, including experience supporting complex enterprise environments. - Demonstrated experience conducting enterprise architecture or infrastructure assessments. - Enterprise infrastructure architecture and systems engineering - Extensive experience in hybrid hosting environments and modernization and cloud migration planning. - Virtualization platform management. - Performance engineering and scalability assessments for high-volume systems. - Experience designing or advising on system resilience and operational continuity strategies. - Experience in Infrastructure stabilization during large-scale multi-application modernization or migration initiatives. - Strong analytical and systems-thinking abilities. - Excellent technical documentation and architecture diagramming skills. - Strong stakeholder communication and facilitation abilities. - US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. - Must reside in the Continental US; located in the state of Pennsylvania a plus, but not required. - Depending on the government agency, specific requirements may include public trust background check or security clearance.
