Clinical Operations Manager

• Serves in an on-call capacity providing, consistent, comprehensive oversight of all organ donation operations including but not limited to donor referral triage, authorization, management, organ allocation, recovery and post-mortem care. Responsible for providing plan of care guidance, and ensuring all case activity proceeds in an effective and efficient manner. • Provides regulatory oversight/verification of critical considerations such as hemodilution, death note(s), and PHS Increased Risk reviews. • Collaborates with DNW Medical Director/Chief Medical Officer (CMO) on setting and upholding donor case plans and interacts with physician consults as needed. • Advises staff in working through operational challenges by providing mentoring, talking points, and on-site support. • Provides on-site staff and operations support for procedures and critical staffing needs (i.e. DCD lead, donor management). • Collaborates with management team on staff development directives. • Drives organ operations, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives. Responsible for identifying trends and performance improvement opportunities in collaboration with Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Educator. • Collaborates with CMO to develop and maintain evidenced based donor clinical management guidelines. • Partners with regional management to identify, develop, and implement regional strategies for clinical and hospital education, including but not limited to participating in donor councils, grand rounds, staff meetings and other educational opportunities. • Responsible for identification and implementation of transplant center (TXC) stakeholder engagement strategies. Serves as the primary point of contact for TXC concerns, leads root cause analysis, proposes improvement plans and implements change to address improvement opportunities. Engages stakeholders by participating on abdominal and thoracic transplant program quality meetings. Engages stakeholders to develop resources for infectious disease consulting, echo core diagnostic group, DNW case plans and timing reviews, and overall performance improvement. • Collaborates with Research Program Director on evaluation and implementation of research initiatives, particularly those focused on prospective donor management trials. • Collaborates with referral management team to ensure appropriate resource commitment and process improvement. • Participate in and lead donor performance improvement meetings (QAPI, MAB, educational forum, etc). • Performs additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Hospital Services Coordinator

Role Description The Hospital Services Coordinator (HSC) provides administrative support services to the Hospital Services department performing a variety of detailed, complex, confidential duties regarding reporting and documentation of department actions and performance. This role requires experience and knowledge of department tasks, duties, and responsibilities, and the individual in the role will be successful if they are a proactive team player who upholds the organizational core values of passion, integrity, respect, and teamwork. - Executive Scorecard downloading and packaging up for each team member. DPCs/IHCs will still distribute. - Generate Hospital Service Plan for C/D hospitals from a template. - Create missed referral packaging weekly for each team member, prioritizing hospitals without a DPC or understaffed areas. DPCs/IHCs will still distribute and review/pull charts as needed. - Low-Acuity Follow by phone Monday through Friday, Pacific Time. - Medium Acuity Follow by phone as needed Monday through Friday, Pacific Time. - Participate in zoom education as requested. - Admin tasks as requested (hospital detailed report needs, etc). Qualifications - Knowledge and experience in Hospital Services and relationship management. - Able to communicate and present information effectively within a team environment. - Able to communicate professionally and compassionately with colleagues, leadership, and partners. - Possess strong interpersonal skills that allow him/her to deal effectively in a dynamic field. - Exhibits excellent attention to detail and as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. - Exhibits strong self-management and initiative. - Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and current Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in nursing, biological sciences, business health administration, social sciences or an equivalent degree/diploma/certification as a counselor or allied health field or 2 years previous experience in the same role at an Organ Procurement Organization required. - 2 - 3 years’ experience within a hospital system. Experience in collaboration, education, and negotiation with governmental regulatory bodies and key regulatory personnel. - Experience in presenting information, data, trends, and strategies to executive leadership, health care leaders, public groups, and other professionals. - The position is a fully remote role and the ability to set up and maintain a home office is required. Benefits - $30.34 - $35.69 an hour - Donor Network West takes a market-based approach to pay. All candidates' starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and interview performance. - Our job listings’ compensation ranges include location-based differentials but may not be reflective of a candidate’s final base salary. POSITION SUMMARY The Research Assistant provides an opportunity for intern-level introductory research work by participating closely with DNWest staff in order to improve technical skills while being given a developmental opportunity in an industrial setting. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reviews and researches project background and status with Research Program staff. Participates in all phases of research including planning, preparation, calibration, application, evaluation, data analysis, and maintenance. Makes novel observations. Collects and interprets data. Draws sound scientific conclusions based on data analyses. The results of these studies, and the conclusion generated, will impact research plans and advancement decisions on experimental materials. Presents project reviews before colleagues and peers. Participates in all aspects of offering samples for research and procurements. May visit DNWest’s high profile academic and commercial biotech partner labs and learns new techniques and methods of tissue preservation and processing. QUALIFICATIONS
