Role Description This is a 1-year non-reimbursable assignment. The only compensation for this assignment is the federal salary you are already receiving. - Position: Management and Program Analyst - Series Requested: 0343 - Security Clearance: None - Virtual/Remote: Yes (Camp Springs, MD or current duty station) - This assignment does not confer telework benefits. - Only current, full-time federal employees are eligible. - This is a Detail, not a Developmental Rotation. - Supervisory approval form must be signed. Responsibilities: - Reviews and edits documents submitted for divisional and agency clearance to ensure clarity and conciseness, proper formatting, and compliance with plain language principles. - Assists in drafting internal communications in alignment with divisional plans, goals, and objectives. - Provides input to the Asylum Division's strategic communications planning process. Note: This assignment may be performed from your current employing federal office anywhere in the United States. This assignment does not confer any telework privileges. Qualifications - Possess strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce polished documents for senior divisional and agency leaders. - Familiarity with plain language principles and ability to apply them to asylum work product. - Familiarity with SharePoint administration (preferred). - Experience with the clearance process and familiarity (preferred). - Experience, knowledge, and/or interest in political asylum policies and procedures (preferred).
