Role Description DCG is seeking a Social Scientist to support consumer and regulatory research programs for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This position will contribute to the design, implementation, analysis, and reporting of qualitative and quantitative social science research projects focused on tobacco regulatory science and related public health topics. The ideal candidate is an experienced research professional who can independently manage day-to-day research activities while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and providing technical support across complex projects. This role requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to support multiple concurrent research efforts in a fast-paced environment. Location: Fully Remote; the selected candidate will work during DCG’s core Eastern Standard Time business hours. Note: This position is currently contingent on contract award. Responsibilities - Support and implement social science research tasks of moderate to high technical complexity. - Contribute to the planning, execution, and management of qualitative and quantitative research projects. - Conduct data analysis, interpretation, and synthesis of research findings using established research methodologies and analytical tools. - Prepare clear, accurate, and timely reports, presentations, and technical deliverables. - Collaborate with project leadership and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality work products and smooth project execution. - Support study design and development activities, including research planning, instrument development, and methodological recommendations. - Apply established theories, concepts, and techniques to address research questions and support innovative approaches to regulatory science challenges. - Monitor project timelines and contribute to quality assurance and process improvement efforts. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience supporting social science research, public health research, regulatory science, or related fields. - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; Master’s degree preferred. - Specific experience supporting tobacco-related regulatory research. - Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research and data analysis. - Proficiency with statistical and qualitative analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, NVivo, or similar platforms). - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing. - Experience collaborating with cross-functional or multidisciplinary teams. - Active CITI Human Subjects Certification. Role Description DCG is seeking a motivated Business Development Analyst to join our growing organization. In this role, you will support the Growth team's strategic business development initiatives, proposal development activities, team communications, and many other critical elements that position DCG as a reliable partner to a variety of federal customers. This is a dynamic role that requires coordination with multiple levels of the organization and could include surges of support to proposal efforts, including occasional late night and/or weekend work to meet deadlines. Responsibilities - Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, potential clients, and new markets, and compile research findings into clear, actionable reports and briefings. - Monitor news, federal procurement forecasts, and policy changes relevant to target markets. - Track and update opportunities throughout the business development lifecycle leveraging DCG’s CRM. - Leverage AI technologies and best practices to streamline business development processes and create efficiencies within the organization. - Assist in pursuit qualification activities, including gathering client intel and assessing fit. - Work closely with Capture Managers, Proposal Managers and SMEs to help prepare briefing materials for leadership, including gate reviews and pursuit packages. - Support the coordination of meetings, call notes, follow-ups, and next steps. - Support proposal planning including but not limited to responses to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and other related content. - Assist in preparing proposal materials such as resumes, past performance writeups, and formatting and help coordinate internal reviews, deadlines, and submission processes. - Contribute writing for non-technical sections under guidance from senior team members. - Support the proposal development process (analyzing requirements, establishing a schedule, kick-off meetings and color team reviews, developing a compliance matrix, template generation, final review and submission). - Ensure consistency with DCG's brand message, style standards, value proposition, and business objectives. - Other duties as assigned to support proposal production against established deadlines. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in related field - 2+ years of experience in business development, consulting, communications, proposal support or a related domain - Knowledge of or direct experience with federal government contracting - Familiarity with proposal development best practices, such as Shipley training or APMP (course completions or certifications preferred) - Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams) skills, including using and maintaining Word templates - Experience with Adobe Acrobat and PDF development/editing - Ability to work independently, adjust to shifting priorities, and turn around projects on short timelines - Excellent organization, communication, and project planning skills, with sharp attention to detail, accuracy and quality, especially on time-sensitive projects - Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, effectively managing time and prioritizing workload - Driven, enthusiastic team player confident in taking initiative and thinking creatively - Thrives in cross-functional, matrixed, and multi-disciplinary team structures Benefits - A range of comprehensive healthcare plans, encompassing medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with group life coverage.
