• Write clean, efficient and testable code for both frontend and backend services, owning complex features and services from design through to deployment. • Work closely with your squad (product managers, engineers, QAs) to refine requirements, scope technical solutions and deliver great software that serves real customer needs. • Champion automated testing and CI/CD by writing unit, integration and contract tests, and helping to make our systems robust, reliable and safe to change. • Build, deploy and monitor services in AWS using tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes and GitHub Actions. • Take responsibility for the health, performance and maintainability of the code and services you ship, including participating in on-call or support rotas where appropriate. • Help evolve our engineering standards and practices by sharing knowledge, reviewing code and learning constructively from incidents. • Champion observability, using tools such as DataDog to monitor services, spot issues early and debug production problems. • Look for opportunities to improve development workflows using AI-powered tooling and automation so that the team can focus on higher-value work. • Act as a mentor and coach for less experienced engineers, supporting their growth and creating an inclusive, welcoming environment. • Develop in an Agile environment using tools such as Git, Jira and Confluence, with a mindset of collaboration, continuous improvement and psychological safety.
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. • Maintain and enhance the existing codebase, with a strong focus on continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD). • Identify, fix, and resolve bugs while continuously improving application performance. • Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application. • Integrate and maintain third-party libraries and APIs to ensure seamless functionality. • Continuously evaluate, adopt, and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency. • Work closely with the design team to ensure UI/UX best practices and Material Design guidelines are followed. • Identify and address security vulnerabilities to ensure a secure application environment. • Stay up to date with the latest Android trends, architectures, and emerging technologies.
• Lead the end‑to‑end design and development of scalable, high‑performance software across both client‑side and server‑side applications. • Provide technical leadership for your squad, facilitating sound engineering decisions and promoting best practices in code quality, architecture, security and performance. • Write and review production code every day, design and evolve APIs, and ensure solutions are robust, maintainable and well tested. • Work across the full stack, collaborating with UX to build user interfaces and developing reliable APIs and services that power our products. • Mentor and coach engineers at all levels, encouraging continuous learning, constructive feedback and knowledge sharing within the team. • Design, deploy and operate cloud‑native applications on AWS using Terraform, Kubernetes and containerised workloads. • Champion automated testing, TDD and CI/CD so that deployments are secure, reliable and frequent, with minimal manual intervention.
• Design and build high-quality web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern front-end architecture principles • Help evolve our core web platform and shared engineering capabilities • Work across technologies including Next.js, Node.js, Express, and GraphQL • Develop accessible, responsive, and visually polished experiences aligned to WCAG standards • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to translate ideas into scalable solutions • Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement • Champion agile ways of working, code quality, peer reviews, and continuous delivery practices • Contribute to architectural decisions, planning sessions, and technical strategy discussions • Use analytics and customer insights to inform engineering and UX decisions • Support the evolution of cloud-native solutions using AWS and Terraform
• Design and write clean, reliable TypeScript code for both frontend and backend services. • Collaborate with engineers, QAs, Product Managers, and Engineering Managers to plan, build, and release new features. • Write unit and integration tests, and contribute to a robust CI/CD setup that ensures safe, reliable releases. • Deploy and operate software in AWS using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. • Take part in code reviews, retrospectives, and regular feedback sessions to improve as an engineer. • Look for opportunities to improve development workflows using AI-powered tooling and automation.
• You’ll be the kind of leader who: • Inspires engineers to grow, learn, and push themselves further • Removes blockers before they become problems • Creates an environment where autonomy, trust, and collaboration thrive • Balances speed with engineering excellence and compliance expectations • Helps teams focus on meaningful outcomes, not just ticket completion • Champions modern engineering practices, cloud-native thinking, automation, and AI-enabled ways of working • Drives adoption of Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and supports high-performing scrum teams • Works closely with Product, Delivery, and Engineering leaders to shape what we build and how we build it. • Most importantly, you’ll help create a culture where engineers feel genuinely empowered to be themselves, contribute openly, and do work they’re proud of.
