Role Description This is a remote position. We're seeking skilled copy editors to join a major curriculum development project creating Senior Secondary educational resources for Solomon Islands. This is an opportunity to contribute to high-quality learning materials that will have a lasting impact on teachers and learners across the country. We're building a pool of skilled copy editors to review and refine curriculum-aligned educational resources across a range of senior secondary subjects. You'll work closely with the publishing team, writers, and subject matter experts to ensure materials are accurate and publication-ready. Role Description We are seeking an experienced Lead Consultant to lead a high-profile international education programme supporting the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in Egypt. This assignment will deliver technical assistance to strengthen institutional capacity for: - Education Sector Analysis (ESA) - Education Sector Planning (ESP) - Implementation, monitoring, and reform delivery The work will involve close collaboration with government stakeholders and international partners to support evidence-based, sustainable education reform. The Lead Consultant will provide overall technical leadership and strategic direction for the programme. Key responsibilities include: - Leading the delivery of ESA updates and sector planning processes - Managing and coordinating a multi-disciplinary team of consultants - Providing technical oversight and quality assurance across all outputs - Leading engagement with Ministry stakeholders and development partners - Designing and delivering capacity strengthening activities (workshops, mentoring, technical clinics) - Ensuring outputs are aligned with national priorities and implementation system Qualifications - Master’s degree (or higher) in education, economics, public policy, or related field - 15+ years’ experience in education sector development or related fields - Demonstrated experience leading Education Sector Analysis (ESA) - Experience with Education Sector Plans or similar national-level strategies - Proven track record managing complex, multi-expert consultancy teams - Extensive experience working with Ministries of Education and/or government systems - Strong experience producing high-quality technical reports and policy outputs - Proven ability to deliver capacity building and institutional strengthening Requirements - Experience working in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, ideally including Egypt - Familiarity with Global Partnership for Education (GPE) processes - Experience working in large-scale national education reform programmes Language Requirements - Fluency in English (required) - Arabic language skills are highly desirable but not essential Key Competencies - Strategic leadership and programme oversight - Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills - Excellent analytical and report-writing capability - Ability to translate evidence into practical, implementable policy and plans - Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments Application Instructions Please submit: - CV (max 3–4 pages, highlighting relevant assignments) - Brief statement of suitability - Availability and daily rate Benefits - Please apply using the link below (cover letter required): - Application Link
