Role Description The Director, Educational Strategy - Infectious Disease will be responsible for supporting the overall educational and scientific strategy for the Infectious Disease team within the Education division, relying on needs assessments and gap analyses to inform areas of greatest educational need, to improve healthcare professional knowledge, competence, confidence, and performance. What You’ll Own: - Sales Strategy: - Meet assigned targets for strategy quotas, market share, and other established key financial performance objectives. - Achieve annual grant support goals and objectives. - Achieve or surpass industry-standard win rate across grants submitted. - Lead grant development and funding for programs. - Business Strategy: - Develop relationships with top accounts and strategic partners, ensuring attainment of monthly sales quotas. - Leverage the corporation’s growth vision to develop and evolve education strategies, building out the combined and individual team’s value proposition(s) and supporting go-to-market strategies. - Actively seek account feedback, leveraging information to make decisions/monitor strategies and performance, identifying new ways/techniques to drive educational support growth YoY. - Overall Strategy: - Develop and foster compliant supporter relationships through continual communication, reporting of program status, providing outcomes results. - Thoroughly understand and monitor the competitive landscape for the Business Unit and the Company and communicate key competitive information within the Company. - Knowledge of ongoing research and development and pipeline for potential supporters of education. - Integration of knowledge of ongoing research and development, supporter funding interests, current patient management, and best patient management practice in order to develop refined funding opportunities through grant conception and development. - Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and commitment to our mission. Qualifications - Minimum of 3 years in sales, account management and/or direct responsibility for $5M grant/independent education funding procurement role, AND/OR - Minimum of 3 years of clinical practice, directly involved in patient care or commiserate pharmaceutical industry experience. - In addition, 3-5 years of developing grants and/or experience writing, developing, and editing education activities. Requirements - Travel to the corporate headquarters in Reston, Virginia, commercial supporters, medical conferences both in the US and internationally within the designated specialties as well as CME/CE and other medical education conferences and meetings is required in order to accomplish the goals of this position. - Home-based office is acceptable; however, a location convenient to a major airport is ideal. Skills & Abilities - Working knowledge of the ACCME, ACPE, ANCC, Joint Accreditation, and other regulatory agencies’ guidelines and policies in relation to commercially supported educational activities. - Excellent presentation, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills. - Strong knowledge of the Internet and computers, including a sophisticated knowledge of existing Internet-based educational program models. - Ability to function independently with effective time management, organization, and project management skills; attention to detail; ability to manage diverse tasks to deliver work on time, within budget, and at a high level of quality. - Exemplary skill in working effectively on interdisciplinary teams and in decentralized work and communication environments. - Effective decision making, initiative and judgment; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and a resourceful, “can-do” attitude. - Leadership including ability to establish and communicate individual goals aligned to the BU and corporate objectives, develop a cadence of communication and actions associated with goals, prioritize tasks, innovate ideas with the team, build and foster a culture aligned with the organization, build and foster strong relationships with all areas of the business. Role Description We are seeking a Director, Scientific Strategy to join our growing team! This role will be responsible for designing education and writing CME/IME grants, relying on analyses of internal and external sources to inform clinical practice gaps and areas of greatest educational need. - Support Educational Strategists secure funding for CME/IME programs through the design and development of high-quality CME/IME grants that are scientifically and clinically accurate. - Knowledge of ongoing research and development and pipeline for potential supporters of Endocrinology, Obesity, and Cardiovascular continuing medical education. - Integration of knowledge of ongoing research and development, supporter funding interests, current patient management, and best patient management practice and adult learning principles to develop a refined funding opportunity through grant conception and development. - Achievement of annual grant support goals and objectives. - Achieve or surpass industry-standard win rate for all grants submitted. - Commitment to fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and alignment with our mission. Qualifications - Required experience: 3-5 years of developing CME/IME grants and/or equivalent experience writing, developing, and editing medical education activities. - Experience and expertise in Endocrinology, Obesity, and Cardiovascular grant development strongly preferred. - Experience in designing Quality Improvement programs is a plus. - Travel to the corporate headquarters in Reston, Virginia or other US locations for in-person Team meetings, training, strategic planning. - Location: Home-based office is acceptable; however, a location convenient to a major airport is ideal.
