As an Operations Support Specialist, you will collaborate with SCOPS teams and professional partners to deliver solutions and support for agency needs in: - Human Resources - Position management - Staffing - Performance management - Benefits - Telework - Alternate leave - Onboarding Duties include: - Managing daily operations in assigned program areas. - Providing technical guidance and support to office management on complex HR and administrative matters. - Preparing reports and project papers, organizing briefings, and delivering findings and recommendations to management and staff. - Supporting collaborative projects and studies to identify challenges and propose enhancements. - Building and maintaining relationships with subject matter experts (SME) across offices/directorates. - Independently planning, scheduling, and leading studies to assess work operations. Qualifications - Must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 04/10/2026. - Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. - GS-13: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government. - Experience must include: - Coordinating with internal and external partners to support HR or administrative functions. - Serving as a primary point of contact in one or more administrative program areas. - Analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources to design and implement automated solutions. - Serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Requirements - You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National to apply for this position. - Successfully pass a Background Investigation including financial disclosure. - You must pass a drug screening. - Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service. - Political appointees may require OPM approval before on-boarding. - Residency Requirement: Candidates must have resided in the U.S. for three of the last five years or meet other specified criteria. - Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a probationary period of 1 year.
