Role Description We are seeking flexible staff to work on an agency basis. We have full or part time work available either 0800-1500 or 0845-1515 assisting children and young people who have Special Education Needs. You can choose which days suit you and the position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in a school environment. - Assist the teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities - Provide support and supervision to children and young people during classroom activities - Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other staff members - Assist with maintaining a safe and clean classroom environment - Help with mealtime routines and personal care as needed Qualifications - Previous experience working with children and/or young people is preferred - Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices - Previous experience supporting children or young people who have SEN - Ability to work well in a team environment - Patience, flexibility and compassion for working with young people Requirements - You will be required to carry out personal care including the using hoisting equipment; therefore, previous care experience is essential. - The position is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
