Role Description To strengthen our IT Security team, we are looking for a dedicated working student who is eager to gain practical experience in information security. Key Responsibilities - Assisting with the execution of risk analyses and vulnerability assessments - Contributing to the further development and maintenance of the ISMS (Information Security Management System) in accordance with ISO 27001 / BSI IT-Grundschutz - Assisting with implementation of our Identity & Access Management (IAM) systems - Assisting with the creation and updating of security policies and concepts - Analyzing and evaluating security events and log data (SIEM) - Assisting with penetration tests and vulnerability scans - Supporting employee security awareness training - Researching and compiling information on current threat landscapes and CVEs Qualifications - Enrolled student in Computer Science, IT Security, Business Informatics, or a comparable field of study - Basic knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN) and operating systems (Windows, macOS) - Interest in current cybersecurity topics and trends - Analytical mindset and a structured, meticulous approach to work - Good command of German language, written and spoken English proficiency is required - Understanding of common security standards (knowledge of ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz) is a plus - Initial practical experience (e.g., CTFs, certifications such as CompTIA Security+, personal projects) is a plus - Ability to occasionally join in-person meetings with Carbonfuture staff in Berlin or Freiburg Benefits - A ground-breaking business with an early foothold in the carbon removal industry and the ability to have a real impact on climate change - Purpose-driven, ambitious colleagues and a friendly, open and inclusive environment - Insight into real-world IT security projects and processes within a professional environment - Flexible working hours that can be easily reconciled with your studies - The option to work remotely part-time, or visit our hubs in Freiburg and Berlin - Personal guidance and mentoring from experienced security experts - Fair compensation (€16–18 per hour, depending on qualifications) Legal Information This position is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic semester to ensure the maintenance of your student enrollment status. • Research, write, and own Carbonfuture's content, like market reports, guides, whitepapers, editorial series, and other formats you consider great and will be able to shape and develop • Write thought leadership content and case studies that establish Carbonfuture as a credible, leading voice in the carbon removal market • Shape and strengthen Carbonfuture's editorial voice, ensuring clarity, distinctiveness, and narrative coherence across all public-facing materials • Develop relationships with journalists, editors, podcast hosts, etc. covering climate, finance, and sustainability, and proactively pitch relevant story angles • Write and distribute press releases for company milestones and announcements • Track coverage and continuously refine outreach to reach the right audiences • Prepare Carbonfuture experts and executives for panels, keynotes, and interviews - developing talking points, narrative briefs, and positioning angles • Identify and help secure high-impact speaking opportunities for the team • Develop and produce digital formats (webinars, roundtables, ...): from theme development and storyline shaping to moderating the live discussion • Contribute to content strategy and storytelling for Carbonfuture-hosted events; occasionally moderate panels or discussions

Your role & responsibilities As a Senior Business Development Manager, you play a pivotal role in partnering with our (prospective) cl ie nts, guiding them in sourcing the essential, de-risked carbon removal credit portfolios to achieve their climate objectives . Your unique blend of approachability , c arbon markets expertise and effective commercial drive will be i nstr umental in expanding our business across E urope, M iddle E ast and potentially parts of Asia . You will be part of a global commercial team and collaborate closely also with the project origination, product, and marketing teams. Dominic, our Chief Growth Officer, will provide you with everything you need for your success and growth. What you'll do Campaign Strategy and Execution: Define, steer, and execute B2B outbound campaigns aimed at securing long-term purchase agreements and spot sales for our high-quality durable carbon removal credits. Proposal Management and Contracting: Lead the crafting of proposals in response to buyer carbon removal RFPs, engage with senior-level corporate stakeholders, and navigate technical due diligence processes with the support of our experienced project origination team. Effectively close mutually beneficial agreements helping to scale a trustworthy, well supplied durable carbon removal market. Strategic Partnerships: Develop robust networks and establish fruitful new partnerships with key stakeholders in the industry, reinforcing our sales, market presence and market-shaping contribution. Deep Dive into Carbon Removal Projects: Acquire an in-depth understanding of our expanding portfolio of diverse durable carbon removal technologies, becoming well-versed in their unique attributes, and effectively communicate their significance to various audiences. Client Insights & Product Enhancement: Understand market dynamics and our clients' challenges and desires, translating these insights into innovative solutions in collaboration with our product and communications teams. Representational Duties: Represent Carbonfuture at conferences, events, working groups, and associations, nurturing strong relationships and providing valuable market insights to internal teams. Market Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments, demonstrating unwavering commitment to expertise and the strong capacity to serve as the trusted advisor to our corporate clients. Candidates should be prepared to either work from home or at a remote location of their choosing. This position requires the ability to work core hours Monday through Friday with availability for European time zone meetings and events. This position will require occasional early morning or evening work and some in-person attendance for all-staff or department-level events which will require overnight travel.
