This position plays a vital role in supporting our emergency rental assistance program by providing direct case management services to participants. The coordinator will work closely with clients and landlords to assess needs, review and verify required documentation, and coordinate timely rental assistance payments. This role is essential in ensuring accurate recordkeeping and maintaining responsive communication throughout the process. This temporary position offers highly flexible hours and can be done completely remote! The role requires a commitment of up to 10 hours per week for a duration of 3 months. Key Responsibilities Client and Landlord Coordination - Conduct intake and eligibility assessments for applicants, guiding them through the application process while maintaining regular communication about their status and next steps. - Liaise with landlords to verify tenancy and payment details, resolving any issues to ensure timely coordination. - Provide referrals to additional resources as needed to support clients effectively. Program Administration and Payment Processing: - Collect, review, and verify client and landlord documentation while maintaining accurate client records. - Enter data for program tracking and reporting and coordinating rental assistance payments with finance staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness. - Support general program operations and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications We are looking for individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in customer service, administrative support, or direct service roles preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage documentation accurately. Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and use of databases or case management systems, is required. Experience working with diverse communities, including immigrants and refugees, is strongly preferred. Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable.
