Role Description Working as part of the central PMO team, you will be providing essential support directly to several inflight projects. The PMO team is responsible for supporting Project Managers, Delivery Leads, and senior stakeholders. You will help ensure projects are delivered in a controlled, consistent, and commercially effective manner. Your responsibilities include: - Support Delivery Leads in the day-to-day coordination and administration of multiple technical projects. - Maintain project schedules, track progress, and provide regular status updates and reporting. - Assist with project financial management, including budget tracking and forecasting updates. - Maintain project RAID logs, monitoring risks and issues and escalating where appropriate. - Create and update project plans, ensuring information remains accurate and current. - Support project governance activities and help drive process improvement initiatives. - Engage with internal teams and external customers, providing timely and accurate project information. - Assist with resource and workforce planning activities across the delivery portfolio. - Contribute to the wider delivery community by sharing best practice and supporting continuous improvement of delivery processes. Qualifications - Previous experience supporting Agile-based projects. - Understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and governance. - Able to monitor project financials and budgets. - Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. - Enjoy working in collaborative environments and working autonomously. Role Description As a Data Engineer at CACI IIG, you join a community of dedicated engineers who deliver cutting edge solutions for our public sector customers across Central Government, Defence, National Security and Critical National Infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with our clients to design and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines that guarantee data availability, accuracy, and performance for analytics and operational decision-making. In addition, you’ll help shape the data engineering roadmap by driving research, defining technical strategy, aligning with business priorities, and influencing key decisions. This role will be focussed on the delivery of high priority projects where you will be supporting our customers across the full project lifecycle from initiation to conclusion. Working with a broad range of technical tools, you will be support with compliance to data governance, standards and quality frameworks. - Interpret and validate data requirements, gather and analyse large-scale structured datasets, and perform profiling within data environments to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Design and implement ETL frameworks to ingest, transform, validate, normalize, and cleanse data, ensuring it meets business and technical needs. - Apply data quality controls and prepare datasets for visualisation, implementing data models and manage storage solutions like Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, BigQuery, or Snowflake. - Support the development of data management standards and policies, including techniques for data synthesis and anonymisation to maintain compliance and security. - Develop robust data models to support analytics and reporting within secure environments. - Delivering performance optimisation through the monitoring and tuning of data workflows for speed, cost efficiency, and reliability. - Establish and refine best practices in data engineering, while contributing to advanced analytics and visualization strategies through research, evaluation of emerging technologies, and presentation of findings to stakeholders. Qualifications - Proven experience as a Data Engineer within complex environments. - Strong knowledge of data management principles, including data modelling, integration, and governance. - Ability to assess existing data management systems and recommend improvements. - Experience working with Snowflake. - Familiarity with modern data architectures (e.g., cloud-based, distributed systems). - Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Spark). - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies. - Aware of Data Analytics and Visualisation. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
