As a Lead Product Owner at Buckhill, you will play a meaningful role throughout the product’s life cycle, contributing to the evolution of our current products and helping to optimise client experiences. Our products serve the Lloyd’s of London and wider London Market, so a strong grounding in that ecosystem - its participants, workflows, and regulatory environment - is central to succeeding in this role. Buckhill is on an exciting trajectory - transitioning from a bespoke InsurTech software development company towards a more product-focused organisation - and you will be joining at a time when strong product ownership has real, tangible impact on that journey. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the most effective approach to maximise product value, aligning your product vision with both Buckhill's business goals and our commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences. As a Lead Product Owner, you will guide the evolution of our products to ensure they meet and exceed the evolving needs of our clients, while actively contributing to a product-centric way of working across the organisation. This role sits within the Product Management function, reporting directly to the Lead Product Owner, and operates as an integral part of a cross-functional team structure designed to drive consistent product excellence across Buckhill's portfolio. You will be accountable for translating Buckhill's strategic objectives into actionable, forward-thinking roadmaps and well-prioritised backlogs. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will take ownership of product outcomes and contribute meaningfully to how product development is executed at Buckhill during this period of growth. This role is based in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate must be located in the UK and have the right to work in the UK - we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Salary Ranges - United Kingdom: £75k - £90k (Gross, annual) Requirements Experience: - 5 or more years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar role - Experience working within the Lloyd’s of London or wider London Market is essential; broader InsurTech or FinTech background is an advantage. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is a plus. - In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly the Scrum framework. - Proven ability to develop product strategies and successfully execute them. - Commercial acumen and the ability to balance business and technical priorities. - Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, experience working with cross-functional teams. - Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision making. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Proven ability to interpret complex client needs into actionable deliverables. - Solid understanding of Lloyd’s of London and London Market insurance processes, including policy administration, underwriting operations, claims, and regulatory considerations specific to the Lloyd’s market. - Comfortable with AI tools and a proactive attitude towards embedding them into product workflows; experience using AI in a product or delivery context is an advantage. - Willingness to travel occasionally to meet clients and stakeholders.
