Role Description As a contracted Background Investigator, you will conduct federal background investigations in accordance with government standards. This includes: - Conducting field interviews with applicants, employers, coworkers, neighbors, and other relevant sources - Reviewing and verifying records including employment, education, law enforcement, and financial documents - Preparing clear, concise, and accurate investigative reports - Managing your own schedule and workload as an independent contractor - Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to federal investigative standards This role is ideal for professionals who value autonomy, flexibility, and meaningful work that directly supports national security.
