Role Description The VP of Sales will lead Brew Dr.’s national sales strategy and execution, driving profitable revenue growth across our expanding functional beverage portfolio. Reporting directly to the CEO, this person will oversee all sales functions, including national accounts, distributor and broker management, strategic customer development, and sales planning. This role will partner closely with marketing, operations, finance, and product development to execute commercial initiatives that accelerate growth, build & strengthen customer relationships, and expand our market presence. - Develop and execute Brew Dr.’s national sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability objectives. - Establish annual sales plans, forecasts, and performance targets aligned with company goals. - Identify growth opportunities across channels, customers, and product portfolios. - Develop and implement customer strategies that drive sustainable, profitable growth. - Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform sales priorities. - Lead all sales functions, including national accounts, regional sales, brokers, distributors, and strategic partnerships. - Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on accountability and execution. - Establish disciplined sales processes, forecasting, pipeline management, and performance metrics. - Strengthen distributor and broker partnerships to maximize market coverage and execution. - Negotiate key customer agreements and lead high-level customer relationships. - Expand distribution and deepen relationships across grocery, natural, club, convenience, foodservice, and mass retail channels. - Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with Brew Dr.’s strategic objectives. - Partner with finance and marketing to develop pricing, promotional, and assortment strategies that maximize revenue and profitability. - Collaborate with marketing to ensure commercial initiatives, new product launches, and promotional programs are effectively executed in the marketplace. - Partner closely with marketing, operations, supply chain, finance, and product development to align commercial priorities and ensure successful execution. - Support demand planning through accurate forecasting and sales insights. Qualifications - 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within consumer packaged goods (CPG), preferably in the beverage, natural foods, or functional beverage categories; Costco experience required. - Proven track record of delivering sustained revenue growth and expanding distribution across national and regional retail accounts. - Deep experience working with distributors, brokers, and key retail partners. - Strong understanding of grocery, natural, mass, club, convenience, and foodservice channels. - Demonstrated success building high-performing sales teams and developing sales talent. - Experience with sales forecasting, customer planning, trade management, and revenue optimization. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. - Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies. - Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with a hands-on leadership style. Role Description The Brand Director will lead Brew Dr.’s brand development to create iconic and beloved brands and beverages through insights, strategy, planning, orchestration, and measurement. The Brand Director will directly lead the multidisciplinary marketing team, indirectly lead the company’s cross-functional teams in service of the brand, and build strategic external agency and capability partnerships. Given the entrepreneurial dynamic of building a growing, values-driven, emerging B Corp brand, the Brand Director will be a strategic leader and hands-on player. Job Responsibilities - Consumer-first Strategy - Possess the curiosity to uncover and leverage compelling and empathetic consumer insights. - Start with the consumer in everything we do. - Build the brand, shape the portfolio, and execute campaigns for consumer relevance, delight, and receptivity. - Brand Management - Lead and execute the development and deployment of brand strategy across product marketing, retail marketing, digital marketing, and brand management. - Set clear and tangible goals (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives. - Ensure brand messaging and customer experience are consistent across all touchpoints, inclusive of retailer-facing decks. - Portfolio Development - Renovate and Innovate to constantly strengthen our product portfolio. - Commercialization - Launch new and renovated products. - Evaluate channel-specific needs, identify business opportunities, and track new and existing item distribution and performance. - Effectively communicate and motivate the Sales Team by delivering clear and compelling brand strategies and selling materials. - Be the brand's voice and an expert on the category at key retailer meetings. - Partner with Sales to develop channel strategies and drive growth at key customers, including implications and actions across the “5Ps.” - Integrated Campaign Development & Execution - Turn insights into ideas. - Bring ideas to life on-brand and across the senses through compelling content & experiences. - Ensure activations are relevant, attention-worthy, and memorable to build lasting relationships. - Lead planning and execution of media strategy across all platforms (paid, owned, earned). - Analytics & Measurement - Develop experiential marketing/PR/digital marketing plans. - Provide syndicated data insights that can be leveraged in selling materials, including retailer-facing decks. - Continuously analyze the competitive environment and consumer trends to ensure the company’s marketing strategy is competing effectively. - Leadership - Provide hands-on direction and leadership to develop an engaged team. - Lead x-disciplinary and x-capability agency relationships. - Be a valued member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) by bringing forward meaningful insights and ensuring cross-functional alignment on key brand decisions. Role Description This role will lead Natural Channel sales efforts for Brew Dr., calling on strategic accounts such as Whole Foods, with indirect responsibility for the UNFI relationship supporting the business. The Customer Business Manager, Natural’s primary responsibility will be to increase Brew Dr.'s volume, revenue, and category share by planning, selling, and executing the sales and marketing programs for critical national and regional chain accounts to achieve company revenue, profit, and distribution objectives. - Develop and execute an annual business plan for all assigned natural and strategic regional accounts. - Work with broker and merchandising partners to sell new and expanded Brew Dr. Kombucha items to assigned accounts. - Develop and implement customer-specific marketing and promotional programs for assigned accounts. - Execute against national priorities and leverage national promotions into customized customer programs to deliver sales and distribution plans. - Act as the primary business contact and partner between Brew Dr. Kombucha and natural accounts and distributors that support the channel. - Provide account intelligence and recommendations for effective planning and programming. - Manage all budgetary needs for assigned accounts. - Identify opportunities to grow volume and increase share with assigned accounts. - Work with a cross-functional team to deliver programs and business objectives. - Manage annual and quarterly demand forecast for assigned natural customers. - Manage annual trade budget for assigned natural customers. Qualifications - Minimum of 5-10 years of sales experience in the beverage or CPG industry, ideally with experience in the natural/organic/emerging brand space, with specific prior experience working with Whole Foods. - Previous experience managing natural and independent accounts as the primary sales contact. Prior experience with UNFI and/or KeHe is a plus. - Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales objectives. - Strong working knowledge of syndicated data, including Circana, SPINS, & Nielsen. Experience working with customers on category management and making category recommendations. - Possess deep experience with omni-channel problem-solving skills and working with a cross-functional team. - Highly developed presentation and influence skills, including driving influence at multiple levels. - Ability to travel as needed.
