Role Description Represent Boon Edam Inc. as a subject matter expert on Boon Edam products and how they fit into the security ecosystem. Provide SME support to enterprise organizations, key stakeholders, customer support teams along with our internal and external teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality professional services and technical solutions to Enterprise and Strategic Accounts. - Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with key technical stakeholders within our Targeted, Pending and Qualified accounts. - Collaborate with the Director of Enterprise Technical Program to communicate customer needs and product enhancement opportunities to manufacturing and commercial teams. - Partner in a team approach with Customer Support teams to develop and optimize field service and installation strategies, driving improved performance and customer experience. - Support in expanding training capabilities, with primary focus on delivering technical training for Enterprise and National Accounts, including: - Training for less experienced installation and service technicians - Training for Security Integrator technical teams - End-user training on the proper use of Boon Edam products - Travel extensively (domestic and international) to support installation & service teams for Enterprise and National Accounts, covering the United States, Canada, South and Central Americas. - Alert through issue management process and help define problems experienced in the field surrounding product quality and/or performance. - Assist RSMs in developing client standards, including part numbers, product specifications, and point-to-point integration for Boon Edam products. - Provide expert consultation to Security Integrators, General Contractors, Demolition Subcontractors, and End Users to ensure clear understanding and successful implementation of Boon Edam solutions in a safe and efficient manner. - Maintain deep product knowledge of Boon Edam systems and related Access Control Systems. - Work remotely in close coordination with the Enterprise Account Team, Technical Service Manager, Installation Manager, and Customer Support team based in Lillington, NC. - Serve as the primary technical resource for the Enterprise Account Team through phone support and on-site visits. Qualifications - Two-year degree in Electrical/Electronic Theory or a related technical field and/or a minimum of five (5) years of equivalent technical field experience. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Strong customer-focused mindset with a track record of delivering exceptional client service and support. - Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain a U.S. passport for international travel. - Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% of the time. - Strong electrical skills, including low-voltage electronics and high-voltage electrical theory. - Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and construction documents. - Excellent electrical circuit troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities. - Strong mechanical installation skills, including layout, assembly, and system integration. - Minimum of two (2) years of project management experience. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong telephone presence. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general PC/internet applications. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Physical ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. Role Description Provide technical support for installation, service, and maintenance of equipment to regional managers, distributors technicians, and end-user customers. Qualifications - Two year degree in Electrical/Electronic Theory or Plant Maintenance, or similar. - Two years similar field experience. - Must hold a current U.S driver license and be capable of obtaining a US passport for international travel. - Electrical skills, low voltage electronics and high voltage electrical theory. - Ability to read and understand electrical schematics. - Electrical circuit troubleshooting abilities. - Strong mechanical skill knowledge with excellent capability in reading and understanding mechanical and construction drawings. - Familiarity with use of hand tools such as cordless drill, hammer, levels, voltage meter, etc. - Strong communication skills in the following areas: Phone etiquette, active listening, verbal and written communication in English (fluency in Spanish not required but a plus). - Position requires use of headset/microphone. - Must be able to sit for long periods of time. - Detail oriented. - Microsoft Office skills, PC and Internet Explorer knowledge. - Customer focused. - Ability to work remotely will be approved at the manager’s discretion. Requirements - Provide technical product service and support via telephone, face to face, and written communication to resolve any emerging problems that our customers (internal and external) might face with accuracy and efficiency. - Resolve product problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem/troubleshooting; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the technical issue. - Record and track support activities for record keeping metrics. - Follow standard processes and procedures. - Occasional travel (less than 5% of the time) for service support may be required throughout the United States, South and Central America assisting with the installation and service of Boon Edam products. - Provide service and material quotations to customers. - Provide webinar training to distributors and end users. - Provide regional trainings in person to techs and sales. - Enter parts orders as required.
