Role Description Responsible for driving sales performance by building and maintaining relationships with retail customers, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting revenue growth across assigned accounts. Works closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met, while managing daily sales activities, outreach, and follow-up in a timely and professional manner. - Meet and exceed established sales targets through consistent outreach, relationship building, and follow-up with retail customers. - Conduct outbound sales calls to prospective and existing customers, maintaining a high level of daily activity and engagement. - Identify new sales opportunities while continuing to grow and support existing customer relationships. - Conduct store and account analysis to identify opportunities for increased sales, improved product placement, and enhanced customer support. - Prepare and present sales materials, proposals, and agreements to support ongoing business development efforts. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information, call activity, and sales progress within the company’s systems. - Partner with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are understood and met, and to support overall sales execution. - Participate in trade shows and events to generate leads and support brand awareness and sales growth. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Strong communication skills, with an ability to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders. - Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow established processes, and work independently with limited supervision. - Comfortable using business systems and tools to track activity and manage customer information. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Role Description The Sales Representative promotes and sells our full line of nutritional and supplement products to retailers within an assigned territory. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, conducting product demos, and supporting store success through regular visits and inventory checks. The position requires frequent travel, strong presentation skills, and the ability to work independently from a home office. - Sells entire product line of nutritional/food supplement products, as well as new products, to retailers/buyers. - Determines customer needs and sales potential. - Develops customer relations through educating customers and retailers about the company’s products, services, and prices. - Frequently travels for the purpose of evaluating and enhancing current and/or prospective sales. - Answers customer’s questions and handles customer service situations when applicable. - Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts. - Works effectively and efficiently with a sales team to expand and serve our customer base. - Identifies areas of growth within assigned stores and works with buyers to accomplish growth. - Sets up appointments with retailers/buyers of the health food store accounts in assigned territory. - Performs product demonstrations to create interest in products among retailers and consumers. - Conducts store inventories as needed. - Participates in monthly sales representative teleconferences, regional meetings, and annual meetings. Role Description This role is responsible for leading the company’s sales efforts at key national natural retail accounts, with primary ownership of Whole Foods and Sprouts, driving revenue growth, profitability, and market share for the portfolio. - Own and manage headquarters-level relationships with Whole Foods and Sprouts, serving as the primary point of contact. - Develop and execute strategic customer business plans to deliver revenue growth, profitability, and increased market share. - Drive base business growth through improved velocity, expanded distribution, and new item placement. - Plan and execute promotional strategies aligned with account objectives and company goals. - Lead joint business planning meetings and ongoing account discussions. - Develop and manage trade funding, ensuring alignment with budget and profitability targets. - Provide input on pricing strategy by retailer and channel. - Utilize data and analytics (SPINS, IRI, Nielsen) to inform decisions and identify growth opportunities. - Collaborate cross-functionally to support execution across supply chain, finance, marketing, and operations. - Partner with customers on new product initiatives and innovation opportunities. - Manage deduction resolution and payment issues in coordination with internal teams. - May lead and develop a small team (1–2 direct reports), depending on experience. Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in natural channel sales, including direct ownership of national retail accounts; experience managing Whole Foods and/or Sprouts strongly preferred. - Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred with sales experience. - Experience within the vitamins, supplements, or health and wellness category strongly preferred. - Proven track record of driving growth within the natural channel. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret syndicated data (SPINS, IRI, Nielsen). - Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and lead customer discussions at a senior level. - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, profit margins, commissions, and percentages. - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. - Strong analytical skills are a must.
