Role Description We are seeking an experienced, financial services–focused professional to join our team as a Data Specialist. This role is ideal for a highly detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative individual who excels at managing complex data conversions and partner integrations. The Senior Data Specialist provides end-to-end support for data transfers associated with onboarding new broker-dealer and vendor data onto BETA’s platform. - Serve as the Lead Analyst for data conversions from acquired brokerage firms onto BETA’s platform for new or existing clients. - Analyze complex source data sets to define conversion requirements and specifications. - Develop and maintain detailed mapping documentation, including specifications, pseudocode, spreadsheets, validation tables, and reconciliation tools. - Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal technical teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions and managing communication of status, risks, and issue resolution. - Facilitate client mapping sessions and perform gap analysis across data modules to produce finalized conversion instructions. - Support full conversion lifecycle, including testing, validation, and production go-live, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and successful outcomes. - Perform extensive data validation, oversee test execution, and provide hands-on support during production events. - Maintain and enhance documentation standards, workflows, and vendor de-conversion processes to enable scalable, repeatable integrations. - Continuously improve conversion processes and support models for new vendor integrations. - Utilize advanced Excel techniques (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data validation) to analyze and interpret large datasets. Qualifications - 6+ Years of relevant experience in client integration project, preferably within the finance services industry. - Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. - Ability to manage multiple integration projects concurrently while meeting defined timelines. - Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with internal teams and external client stakeholders. - Demonstrated ownership and accountability from requirements gathering through production implementation. - Commitment to continuous improvement, including participation in post-project reviews. - Strong customer service mindset with the ability to work independently. - High level of integrity, dependability, and professionalism. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project. - Advanced Excel expertise, with the ability to analyze large datasets using formulas, pivot tables, and advanced querying techniques; macro development is a plus. - Familiarity with IBM mainframe environments or basic COBOL concepts is a plus. Role Description The Specialist, Technology Infrastructure plays a critical role in implementing and maintaining multiple application software packages running on a variety of distributed platforms in multiple environments. The Specialist ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of application software and any related firmware components. They will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues. This role is essential for enabling seamless technology services that empower business continuity and growth. - Install, administer, and support applications running on virtualized platforms, including Linux/Unix, Windows, and OpenShift. - Deploy, configure, and support IBM middleware technologies such as CP4I, App Connect Enterprise, API Connect, DataPower, MQ, or WebSphere Application Server. - Collaborate with OEM vendors to troubleshoot software issues when needed. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex software application stack issues to minimize downtime. - Participate in capacity planning and perform application software upgrades to meet evolving business requirements. - Document application configurations, procedures, and system changes to maintain accurate and accessible records. - Work closely with application and development teams to support integration, deployment, and adoption of new technologies. - Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24×7 production support coverage. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience providing application support on virtualized distributed platforms (Linux/Unix, Windows, OpenShift). - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven ability to troubleshoot complex software application issues. - Experience supporting IBM middleware technologies: OpenShift CP4I, App Connect Enterprise, API Connect, DataPower, MQ, WebSphere Application Server. - Experience with shell scripting (Linux/Unix, PowerShell, Perl). - Experience with TLS certificate management. - Familiarity with automation/configuration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform. - Experience working in DevOps environments. - Exposure to collaboration tools such as ServiceNow, Confluence, or SharePoint. - Ability to maintain, support, and optimize application components to ensure secure, efficient system performance. - Knowledge of automation and infrastructure-as-code practices to streamline operations. - Effective communication and collaboration skills for working across technical and business teams.
