Role Description As a Customer Success Manager, you’ll be the trusted advisor helping senior living operators achieve measurable outcomes through August Health. You’ll own the customer relationship from post go live through renewal—driving adoption, engagement, and long-term success. You’ll work cross-functionally with Implementation, Product, and Support teams to ensure each customer realizes the full value of our solution. - Serve as the main point of contact for assigned customers, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships. - Assess and understand existing customer configurations, workflows, and data structures—identifying the best system configuration approaches to meet evolving customer needs. - Develop a deep understanding of each customer’s goals, business challenges, and success metrics. - Rapidly understand how a customer’s current system is configured. - Conduct regular check-ins and strategic calls to foster engagement and trust. - Drive platform adoption and ensure customers are utilizing key features to achieve ROI. - Monitor customer health metrics and proactively address risks. - Identify early signs of dissatisfaction and work cross-functionally to resolve issues. - Identify and nurture opportunities for expansion, including upsells. - Lead regular success reviews with key stakeholders to evaluate performance, outcomes, and future goals. - Analyze customer data to surface insights, trends, and opportunities for optimization. - Partner with customers to define measurable success metrics and report on progress. - Advocate for customer needs internally and contribute to product feedback loops. - Represent the company at customer sites, conferences, and strategic meetings (travel up to 25%). Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in Customer Success, Account Management, Implementation, or a similar function. - Experience in healthcare or senior living operations is a plus, but not required. - A customer-obsessed mindset and a track record of helping customers achieve meaningful outcomes. - Proactive, curious, and continuously looking for ways to improve the customer experience. - Ability to translate business needs into technical and workflow requirements. - Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and build trust with diverse stakeholders—including C-level executives. - Comfortable with ambiguity and change; able to create structure, make decisions, and move forward without perfect information. • Own rapid, high-impact implementations tied to acquisitions, operator transitions, and product expansions • Lead condensed, full-cycle implementations for acquisitions, operator transitions, and product expansions • Quickly assess and understand existing customer configurations, workflows, and data structures • Serve as the main point of communication for customers during their transition • Drive implementations that span multiple August products (Clinical, Billing, Operations, and beyond) • Develop and execute streamlined implementation project plans • Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders, department heads, and front-line staff • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Go-To-Market teams • Identify and mitigate risks early, especially in situations with limited historical context • Deliver engaging training sessions tailored to both corporate and community-based roles • Standardize and scale processes, playbooks, and documentation
• Support full-cycle implementations by executing key tasks across multiple customer projects • Configure the August platform based on defined workflows and requirements • Prepare, clean, and validate data for migrations and system setup • Build and maintain spreadsheets, templates, and tracking tools to support implementations • Join customer calls to take notes, track action items, and follow up on next steps • Assist with training preparation and delivery, ensuring customers feel confident using the platform • Partner with Implementation Managers to document workflows, requirements, and decisions • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, tools, and documentation • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to support customer needs • Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality
• Own the systems that keep August Health fast, secure, and resilient as we scale • Managing and evolving our AWS infrastructure using Pulumi • Operating and improving our K8s clusters • Owning and optimizing our GitHub Actions workflows • Hardening our infrastructure posture • Supporting the reliable operation of our data engineering workflows • Deploying and maintaining prompt tracing, evaluation, and observability tools • Managing secure, zero-trust connectivity across our distributed infrastructure • Designing, documenting, and regularly testing DR/IR processes
• Build and own pipeline across a defined list of named Senior Living communities and operators • Develop trusted relationships through a mix of cold outreach, warm introductions, and in-person engagement • Quarterback complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles — aligning executives, operators, and clinical leaders around the value August delivers • Partner closely with founders and internal SMEs to navigate nuanced deal dynamics and relatively long sales cycles
• Lead product design for your designated product area from concept through launch and iteration. • Drive the design vision and establish design patterns, principles, and best practices within your domain. • Conduct user research to deeply understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors, translating insights into actionable design solutions. • Create comprehensive design deliverables including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs. • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, clinical advisors, and other designers to align on product strategy and execution. • Champion the user throughout the product development process, ensuring decisions are grounded in user needs and data Iterate based on feedback from usability testing, user feedback, and product metrics. • Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the product Product Designer 2 Mentor and provide design feedback to other team members, fostering a culture of design excellence.
