Role Description Schuman Cheese is seeking a Strategic Account Representative (Customer Service) to join our high-performing Club team and help support some of the most visible accounts in the business, including customers like Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and BJ’s. This is a customer-facing, high-visibility role that delivers world-class, concierge-level service while serving as a direct liaison between customers, Sales Representatives, and key Schuman departments. - Drive exceptional execution across order processing, issue resolution, and customer advocacy. - Build confidence with both internal and external partners through responsiveness, sound judgment, and follow-through. - Interface directly with members of the family and the leadership team. - Operate with confidence, professionalism, and presence in high-exposure situations. - Bring high energy, high effort, and readiness to perform in a fast-moving environment. - Help elevate an already strong team. Qualifications - 5 or more years of experience in customer service, supply chain coordination, account management, or related business support roles is required; experience working with club customers or large retail supply chains such as Costco, Sam’s, or Wal-Mart is a plus. - Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; experience working within Sage X3 or a similar ERP system is a plus. - Familiarity with EDI transaction sets and order processing workflows preferred. - Excellent customer communication skills, including the ability to tailor messaging to the audience and build professional business relationships. - Above average written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute as a team player. - Strong data management, analytical, troubleshooting, and research skills, with the ability to identify issues and support effective resolution. - Skilled in problem solving, time management, and multitasking while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Organized, dependable, and results oriented, with strong follow-through and a high sense of urgency. - Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities. - Self-directed with the ability to work independently with limited direction, while also collaborating effectively within a team. - Demonstrates sound judgment and the ability to make business decisions that support both the customer and Schuman Cheese. This role ensures commitments, demos, new item launches, and financial accruals are accurately tracked and executed while serving as a key liaison between Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, Innovation, and external customers. Responsibilities: • Support inside sales efforts across club accounts • Maintain Commitment Tracker and communicate order status to buyers • Track monthly accruals, SPP deductions, and promotional/demo spend • Manage demo submissions, tracking, and reporting • Code invoices for demos, promotions, imaging, and deductions • Submit and track internal and external sample requests • Support actionable follow ups from customer meetings • Enter and update Salesforce opportunities and customer information • Provide lift reports and sales reporting as requested • Coordinate buy documents and QA forms across teams • Support Instacart imaging requests and buy doc updates • Serve as backup for forecasting, buy docs, and team as needed • Provide cross-functional training and operational support Qualifications 5 years of experience in sales support, purchasing, customer service or other business-related roles; cheese experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Finance preferred. Strong organizational and analytical skills High attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities Effective cross-functional communicator Experience with Retail Link, Salesforce, and financial tracking preferred Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time salaried position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Expectations of 45 hours per week, to be worked during normal business hours. Up to 20% travel required. Compensation and Benefits: The budgeted salary range for this position is $91,000-$120,000, with a 12.5% annual bonus potential.
