Role Description This position is responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing robust API platforms for efficient data exchange, system integrations, and secure communication; strong skills in backend or platform engineering and API design are essential. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, including distributed systems and API design - 3+ years of experience in software development using Java or Python - 2+ years of experience with designing, deploying, and operating real-time, low-latency API platforms at scale such as Apigee, Gravitee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, or Mulesoft - 1+ years of experience with DevOps practices and technologies, including Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows - Experience with protocols, including HTTP, gRPC, or WebSockets, caching, load balancing, and API security - Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP - Experience with Git and collaboration tools, including Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, Nexus, or Bitbucket - Experience in gathering requirements and engaging with clients - Secret clearance - HS Diploma or GED Requirements - Experience with SQL, Server-Side Development, Middleware, Application or Data Integration, API Development, Core Application Systems, Node.js, Groovy, Scala, Spring Cloud, Spring Core, Spring-Boot, or Spring Data - Experience with using a message broker, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ

Role Description - Synthesize disparate facts from multiple sources and coalesce into an accurate and useful analytic product, incorporating Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) and Military Health System (MHS) strategic goals for use by Senior Leaders in both operational and strategic decision making. - Conduct data analytics processes to include: - Data extraction, transformation and loading - Data visualization applications/techniques - Quantitative analysis of data - Evaluate, test and communicate analyses. Familiarity with monitoring functions that promote excellence and compliance. Make recommendations to include alternative solutions and/or mitigation strategies for senior leadership. - Apply knowledge of Health Care Organization (HCO)/MHS operational infrastructure and the functions that sustain the MHS operational infrastructure to include: - Boundary spanning - Forecasting - Knowledge management - Accountability - Continuous improvement - Improving the operational infrastructure - Provide accurate and timely analytical products containing well-reasoned and cogent discussion points providing leadership with substantiated options or courses of action. - Other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications - An advanced degree in a quantitative data field (highly preferred) and 5+ years or more performing practical analysis with AFMS, MHS, VA or civilian sector healthcare data. - 3+ years of experience in overseeing the preparing and briefing papers/presentations on various financial, administrative, business, and clinical matters related to overall activities and process management. - 3+ years of experience in communicating and writing complex concepts and their effects/impacts on the target environment, such that a lay audience is capable of understanding. - Proficiency executing statistical modeling and analysis, utilizing SQL, SAS, R, Python/Conda, and Tableau (preferred), PowerBI, QLIK, or other visualization tools. - Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare business processes, having prepared briefings/papers on various financial, administrative, and business process matters. - Experience preparing technical writing and information papers. - Experience providing technical, administrative, editorial and graphics support for the purpose of preparing special reports, studies and analyses. - Ability to research, analyze, and craft data to create compelling, insightful, and effective, informed recommendations, presentations, and reports. - Preferred candidates to have knowledge of major MHS information systems and/or data repositories. Title: Software Engineer (Java / React / AWS) Location: Remote/Arnold, Missouri, United States Job Description: ** HYBRID POSITION: Onsite 2-3 days/week to start, may scale back to 1 day/week * Job Summary: We are seeking a Software Engineer to support a client/server application that synchronizes files to remote locations, along with a React-based web interface. This role will focus on maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing the platform as it migrates to AWS, with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalability. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain backend services in Java (e.g., APIs, file processing, synchronization logic) - Build and enhance the React-based web application and user interface - Support migration of application components and workflows to AWS - Troubleshoot issues related to file transfer, synchronization, and system performance - Collaborate with DevOps to support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and monitoring - Participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile development processes Qualifications: - Must possess an Active Top Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred) with the ability to obtain SCI and CI Poly.  - Experience with Java and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred) - Familiarity with client/server or distributed application architectures - Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms - Experience with REST APIs and database integration - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
