Apogee Engineering is hiring a Senior Contract Manager to lead end-to-end contract oversight for high‑visibility, complex projects supporting our government and commercial customers. This is a full-time role in Beavercreek, OH, with hybrid flexibility for a couple of days per week or remote for someone not local. Responsibilities - Review complex solicitations and prepare a specialized and/or non-routine response for proposals, bids, and contract modifications. - Analyze significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies and department procedures. - Provide contractual guidance to operations team members for appropriate Statement of Work. - Negotiate and manage nondisclosure, teaming, consulting, subcontract, and vendor agreements. - Develop negotiation strategy and lead negotiation team on complex contractual issues. - Analyze regulatory and contract trends for potential impact on business. - Function as a subject matter expert on selected areas and issues. - Provide convincing guidance to internal business teams on corporate goals and objectives related to contract activity. - Assist in new business pursuit and associated contract strategy. - Assist in identification, development, and implementation of new contract policies and procedures. - Participate in the development of business alliances and partnership agreements. - Review opportunities for conflicts of interest. - Communicate with internal and external stakeholders across business development, proposals, pricing, operations, contracting/legal, suppliers, and senior leadership. Qualifications - Must be a US citizen. - Bachelor's degree in business or other concentration. - Ten years of relevant business experience, with at least five years in defense contract management/administration. Preferred Experience - Secret Preferred clearance. - Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM). - Degree in business, Finance or Law. Role Description This role involves supporting the C-5 System Program Office at Robins Air Force Base (AFB), GA. - Perform data analysis and support sustainment of structures, systems, and zonal analysis tasks consistent with Maintenance Steering Group – 3 (MSG-3) philosophy - Use tools/processes, including best practices from the commercial aviation industry and current Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines to preserve overall C-5 fleet reliability - Review and generate Engineering Requirement Reviews (ERRs) for all MSG-3 tasks (both new and old) - Conduct investigations into C-5 fleet deficiencies and make recommendations to improve Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) - Identify, collect, and analyze C-5 maintenance failure data, aircraft diagnostic data, RAM data, engineering disposition data, and deficiency reporting data - Identify, evaluate, and resolve issues which may affect aircraft safety and operational capabilities as part of ERR Support Program - Analyze C-5 parts supportability from suppliers, such as the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) or Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) locations, and identify supportability issues that impact maintenance tasks - Communicate with other Contractor and Government team members to coordinate approval of ERR Development Packages (DEV PAC) Qualifications - Must be a US citizen - Secret clearance - High School Diploma - Minimum of 11+ years (12+ years preferred) experience performing aircraft maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience - Knowledge and experience applying MSG-3 commercial best practices and Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 63-143 guidelines - Familiarity with various data analysis sources, such as G081, REMIS, ROCIT, MWR, AutoTAR, IES, AFIRM, FEDLOG, and D043 - Demonstrated ability to perform analysis and make recommendations aligned with findings - Strong written and oral communication skills Requirements - Location: Robins Air Force Base (AFB), GA - Hybrid work flexibility - Travel: 0-10%
