You’ll oversee project execution across scope, schedule, budget, safety, procurement, and client coordination while partnering with engineering, construction, and utility stakeholders to deliver critical infrastructure projects that strengthen the power grid. Project Scope: 69kV–500kV transmission projects, large-scale utility infrastructure projects, greenfield and brownfield transmission projects What You’ll Do - Manage the full EPC lifecycle for high-voltage transmission line projects, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout - Lead project execution across safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management - Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, environmental, permitting, ROW, and utility stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery - Develop and maintain project schedules, forecasts, staffing plans, and financial reporting - Oversee contractor performance, material procurement, and construction activities to ensure alignment with project objectives - Serve as the primary point of contact for utility clients, vendors, and internal leadership teams - Drive project meetings, status reporting, change management, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle - Support proposal development, project planning, and resource forecasting for upcoming work What You Bring - Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (in lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant work experience in Utility Design, Project Management, or Utility Engineering) - 15% years of experience leading large-scale transmission EPC projects with direct client responsibility - Working knowledge in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, cost forecasting/reporting tools, and earned value management experience - Proven ability to lead cross-functional EPC teams in fast-paced utility environments - Strong financial management, forecasting, and schedule management capabilities - Excellent client relationship and stakeholder communication skills - Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities - A skilled communicator capable of leading cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders - Knowledge of utility engineering practices with an emphasis on Transmission/Substation design and critical path method scheduling Ampirical is an Equal Opportunity Employer, meaning we do not discriminate based on the following characteristics in our hiring and employment practices: Age, sex, color, race, creed, national origin, religion or religious attire, marital status, pregnancy (child birth or related medical conditions), citizenship status or amnesty, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, transgender status, physical or mental disability, military or veteran status, genetic information, sickle-cell trait, status as a tobacco user or non-user, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
