Role Description As a Roofing Production Estimator at Advanced Roofing, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the success of large-scale commercial roofing projects across Florida—all from the flexibility of a remote work environment. Key Responsibilities - Analyze historical data and project documents to develop accurate cost estimates for large commercial roofing projects. - Attend pre-bid meetings and review specifications and drawings to determine project scope and requirements. - Prepare conceptual and final estimates, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals and timelines. - Provide technical support to estimating teams and collaborate with other departments to evaluate rates and strategies. - Track awarded contracts, manage change orders, and support procurement and material coordination. - Design roof layouts using Roof CAD software and ensure compliance with permitting and engineering standards. - Maintain documentation to support estimates and ensure all warranties and specifications meet manufacturer and jurisdictional requirements. - Conduct site visits, participate in project handoffs, and perform post-job reviews to ensure quality and continuous improvement. - Monitor and influence safety compliance and support the sales team with value engineering and customer-focused solutions. Qualifications - Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. - 5 to 8 years estimating, cost control, and/or engineering experience required. - At least 4 years estimating experience using Edge software. - Must have experience estimating large commercial roofs (over 20,000 sq. ft.). - Thorough knowledge of company procedures, estimating techniques, all engineering disciplines, cost control systems, and accounts required. - Ability to estimate all types of projects/contracts, plus ability to coordinate and supervise group work effort essential. - Minimum 18 years of age. - Successful background investigation. - Valid Driver’s license. - Successful Pre-Employment Drug Test.
