Qualifications - 3+ years of experience working with Snowflake (data sharing, replication, and administration strongly preferred). - Proficiency with data delivery mechanisms such as SFTP, S3, and cloud-based data sharing. - Strong SQL skills and experience building/modifying views, tables, and stored procedures. - Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration and monitoring tools. - Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading demos and client-facing calls. - Experience with data lineage concepts and metadata management. - Familiarity with GCP is a plus. - Bachelor's Degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, or a related field. - Ability to work east coast hours. - Honesty, integrity, and accountability are paramount. - Organization and ability to manage multiple projects and meet proposed deadlines. Role Description You design, build, maintain and evolve data platforms, from research and testing through to production. You own problems and projects all the way from stakeholder inputs to ongoing usage in production. You are highly focused on data ingestion, transformation, and creating models that provide value to analysts. You care about data quality and performance because you’ve had to keep things running in production, not just design them on paper. You take time to think about the business logic behind the data. This is a fully remote role based in Chile. You’ll work closely with a small Data & Analytics team spread across the UK and Chile and will be comfortable conducting all spoken and written work in English. What you’ll do: - Lead the migration to Microsoft Fabric. - Rebuild existing pipelines, workflows, and workspaces from our Azure environment using documented Fabric best practices. - Expand and scale the platform to create value for users. - Design and build ingestion for new sources, create and validate transformation code, and surface data in intuitive semantic layers. - Maintain and improve data trust. - Add to and improve the processes for QA and monitoring that prevent erosion of user trust in our data. - Work in a medallion architecture. - Continually refine the bronze, silver, and gold layers to improve data accuracy, availability and usability. - Put engineering quality first. - Conform to standards for code structure and clarity, version control, documentation, work logging and demonstrable testing. - Connect data to consumption. - Consider the end user when making transformed data available. - Consider storage and lifecycle. - Decide how data is stored and retained, balancing scale, performance, and cost. Qualifications - Experience of Microsoft Fabric in production. - Deep experience of the Azure data stack. - Experience as an owner of a data platform migration. - Strong experience with PySpark and solid Python engineering skills. - Advanced SQL. - Disciplined approach to team procedures within Azure DevOps. - Power BI literacy. - Excellent written and spoken English. - You work independently. - Experience using modern development tools, including AI-assisted tooling. Nice to Have - Experience developing code to process data from 3rd party APIs at scale, including structured persistence of the ingested data. - Streaming ingestion and processing. - Experience helping other engineers to level-up. - A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Benefits - We’re a global leader in live events technology. - We’re passionate about live entertainment. - We have amazing clients. - Our employees love us. - We're a remote-first company. - Diversity and inclusion are paramount to building our culture. - Flexible work schedule. - At AudienceView, diversity and inclusion are core values.
