Job Description
Sourcing Manager
Sourcevise
• You help our customers rethink procurement from the ground up, building sourcing processes that rely on data, structure, and modern tools rather than habit. • As Sourcing Manager, you are the engine behind that service. • You translate customer requirements into searches that deliver results. • You operate the Sourcevise tool better than most, and the evaluations you produce actively inform decision-making. • You own the entire process, from the initial request to a customer who is genuinely convinced. • You convert requirements into results: you take customer needs and shape them into clear, reliable sourcing searches. • You run searches end-to-end: you manage the full sourcing workflow in our tool, from supplier research through to structured evaluation. • You own customer success: you are the main point of contact, often liaising directly with leadership or C-level stakeholders such as the Chief Procurement Officer or Head of Procurement, ensuring every search delivers tangible value. • You prioritize AI-first processes: you help define how sourcing should work internally, identifying where AI can contribute at every step from day one. • You share field learnings so that customers using the tool themselves also benefit.
Job Requirements
- Some early experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing—whether through internships, a working-student role, or your first one to two years on the job—ideally with an interest in a relevant category such as technical components.
- A strong customer orientation: you listen, identify the real requirement, and explain results in plain language.
- An eye for detail and the discipline to manage data, specifications, and evaluations accurately.
- Comfortable with numbers: you enjoy turning quotes and figures into a clear structure.
- A hands-on, ownership-driven attitude, combined with a willingness to learn and question your approach.
- Fluent German and solid English.
- A natural affinity for digital tools and AI-assisted ways of working.
- The ability to bridge modern technology with the more traditional German Mittelstand.
Benefits
- Room to shape the role: a key position in a growing service model where you can significantly influence how sourcing works.
- Startup energy with solid backing: short decision paths and a modern culture, supported by over 30 years of experience and stability from IIC International AG.
- Workplace flexibility: choose to work from our office in Freiburg or Munich to be close to the team, or go fully remote—real flexibility either way.
- Compensation: a competitive salary that increases quickly as you take on more responsibility.
- Development: a learning budget and regular access to experienced colleagues through Lunch & Learns, peer mentoring, and external speakers.
- A steep learning curve and direct access to leadership.
- Role-building opportunity: the chance to help build processes from scratch rather than stepping into a pre-defined role.
- Perks: Hansefit for fitness and wellness, and Jobrad for bike leasing.
