• Create one-off reports using SQL based on business and operational requests • Translate reporting needs from management, product, finance, CRM, and operations into accurate data outputs • Write, review, and improve SQL queries used in reports, dashboards, exports, and internal tools • Analyze existing queries to identify issues such as incorrect joins, duplicate counting, wrong aggregations, missing filters, or inefficient logic • Review slow or heavy queries and suggest improvements to performance and structure • Help validate that reported numbers are accurate and aligned with business definitions • Recommend improvements to query structure, indexes, views, or reporting approaches where relevant • Document the logic behind important reports and recurring SQL queries • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and edge cases • Raise concerns early when data may be incomplete, misleading, or incorrectly interpreted
