• Collaborate and partner with other squad members to create secure, reliable, and scalable software solutions; • Write system code or scripts; • Identify insecure areas of code and implement fixes; • Contribute to significant improvements to team codebases, shared libraries, and business-critical logic.

• Development and maintenance of Sofit View (fleet management SaaS): • Implement new features and enhance existing functionality in the system’s APIs and interfaces; • Fix bugs reported via internal tickets or identified through proactive monitoring; • Develop ad-hoc scripts for operational tasks or bulk corrections. • Monitor the health and performance of Sofit View APIs and databases; • Collaborate to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks; • Use tools such as CloudWatch, New Relic and MongoDB logs for investigation and diagnostics. • Participate in the team’s agile ceremonies, including dailies, plannings, retrospectives and refinements; • Collaborate on code reviews to ensure development best practices and maintainability; • Work closely with the product team and other developers to continuously evolve the application.

Role Description SAIC has an immediate need for a Software Safety Engineer for the Precision Fires (PF) projects for performance of risk analyses and hazard analyses on integrated systems forming part of advanced weapons systems for the DoD. This position will be remote and support the team in Huntsville, AL. - Development of software safety targets and software safety requirements. - Execute hazard analyses required to support identification of software safety requirements in accordance with business standards and program/product objectives. - Development of specific application, generic application and generic product safety cases. - Document and communicate results of technical data generated to internal and external customers. - Co-ordinate the timely production of the necessary design safety documentation, especially the relevant safety cases and related documentation for approval milestones. - Conduct/facilitate PHA, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis and other safety studies with Engineering groups. - Develop and maintain Hazard Tracking Log.
