Job Description

Databricks AI Instructor

RevoData

Title: (Databricks) AI Instructor Location: Amsterdam North Holland NL Job Description: About RevoData RevoData is a boutique Data & AI consultancy and proud Databricks Gold partner. We focus exclusively on Databricks, allowing us to go deep and do things properly. We help companies across Europe unlock the value in their data, helping them design and build scalable platforms that support real business use cases. We foster a no-ego, no-nonsense culture where collaboration, proactivity and knowledge sharing are part of everyday work. Sound like your kind of environment? Then keep scrolling! Requirements Training is a core part of RevoData's offering. As organizations move from experimenting with GenAI to putting it into production, they need people who can help their teams truly understand it. Whether companies are adopting Databricks AI for the first time, rolling out agents and analytics to their business users, or upskilling their teams in AI/BI, GenAI and Agent systems - our instructors play a crucial role in helping them succeed. As our AI Instructor, you will deliver high-quality Databricks AI trainings to data and business professionals across Europe, with a strong focus on virtual sessions. You'll guide learners through complex concepts - from AI/BI Dashboards and Genie (natural-language Text2SQL), to Knowledge Assistants, RAG, and multi-agent systems - in an engaging, structured way, and ensure every training, whether 4 hours or multi-day, is impactful and smooth from start to finish. Alongside teaching, you'll help strengthen and streamline how we run our training operations: coordinating schedules, improving processes, and working closely with our internal team and Databricks to continuously raise the bar. About You You have a passion for teaching and a natural ability to explain technical concepts clearly. You don't need to have been an ML engineer or data scientist, but you're comfortable with data and AI fundamentals, have basic programming capabilities, and learn new concepts quickly. You enjoy being in front of a group - virtual or in-person - and you know how to hold attention, adjust your communication style, and keep learners engaged even in the seventh hour of training. You're calm, patient, structured, and genuinely enjoy supporting others in their learning journey. You don't need extremely deep Databricks or GenAI expertise on day one - we'll give you dedicated time in your first months to learn, get certified, and ramp up before delivering your first training. What You'll Do - Deliver engaging Databricks AI trainings - primarily virtual and in English - covering AI/BI Dashboards and Genie (Text2SQL), Knowledge Assistants and RAG, Vector Search, Supervisor / Multi-Agent systems, and applied GenAI on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. - In a smaller portion of your time, also deliver trainings on BI and Data Engineering topics as demand requires. - Ensure smooth training operations: coordinating schedules, preparing materials, managing the training Slack channels, and handling last-minute requests when they arise. - Guide learners through complex technical topics in a structured, clear and approachable way, adjusting your style to the needs of the group. - Collaborate closely with our instructors and Databricks to strengthen our training program and maintain high delivery standards. - Take ownership of improving how training is organised - from spotting inefficiencies to proposing and implementing better ways of working. - Play a key role in growing our virtual training capacity, helping RevoData meet increasing demand while ensuring consistency and quality. What You Bring - A strong motivation to teach and a genuine interest in being a full-time instructor, not someone who wants to teach on the side. - Solid presentation skills - you can explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences and maintain confidence and kindness throughout. - Experience working with data or AI in some capacity, combined with programming skills (Python and SQL). - A fast-learning, analytical mindset that helps you pick up new tools and concepts quickly. - Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm and supportive even when asked the same question multiple times. - A proactive, organised way of working and the confidence to take ownership of processes, structure, and scheduling. - Teaching, mentoring or coaching experience is a plus but not required; what matters is your motivation and ability to deliver training with clarity and energy. - Proficiency in English is essential; an additional language is also required - French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, German or Spanish. - Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time, mainly within the EU. - A PhD, or experience in research or academia, is a plus. - Databricks experience is a plus. Benefits - Tech Playground: Love experimenting? So do we. Play around with Databricks AI/BI, Genie, Agent Bricks, Vector Search, Terraform, Terragrunt, Asset Bundles, CI/CD, monitoring & alerting tools, Cursor and more. - Unlimited Learning: Take advantage of our partner academies, weekly workshops, and lunch & learns. - Fun Clubs: Join our climbing club, padel club, Dutch club or start your own club! - Work-Life Balance: We trust you to get the job done — whether you're an early bird or a night owl. Our hybrid set up includes Wednesdays at our HQ in NDSM, typically two days at the client's office and the rest is up to you: work from home or join us at the office. - Wellbeing Budget: €75 net wellbeing budget to spend however you like — some recent spends have included gym memberships, bouldering shoes, a Calm-app subscription or a trip to the hairdresser! - Allowances: Every month work from home, travel & internet/phone allowance. - Additional Perks: Pension plan, lunch at the office, quarterly events, workation option & a pet-friendly office in the heart of NDSM! We'd Love to Meet You! If you resonate with our technology, culture, and vision, we're excited to meet you! Apply directly through this vacancy, our website, or connect with me on LinkedIn. We appreciate a CV that goes beyond your experience — a picture of your pet, a podcast you're currently enjoying or a fun fact are always welcome! We value getting to know you better, and our final interview takes place in person at our Amsterdam office. Please note, we do not cover interview travel costs or relocation expenses and cannot provide visa sponsorships as we are not registered as a referee employer. Candidates who already have the right to work in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU and are open to relocating are welcome to apply. Additional Info RevoData has been growing rapidly and we're looking to expand our team now — if you're ready to hit the ground running, we'd love to hear from you! We are open to hiring at Medior, Senior & Principal level for this position. Our Medior annual salary range is €50,000–€65,000, Senior €65,000–€90,000 & Principal €90,000–€110,000. Your level will be determined throughout our interview process, and we'll discuss the corresponding salary band with you as part of those conversations.
