Travel Director

• The Travel Director works as a team member during on-site travel programs, ensuring efficient program operation and client satisfaction. • The Travel Director prepares and performs tasks within assigned areas of responsibility, which may include functions, hospitality desk, air procedures, meetings, shipping, VIPs, special activities or accounting. • Programs may include incentive trips, sales conferences, trade shows and user conferences. • This role travels on programs as needed and work load will vary based on scheduled activities. • Travel Directors may live anywhere in the United States - preference to live within an hour of a major airport.
Job Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
- Availability and flexibility to travel and be on-site anywhere from 3-10 days, which often includes weekends.
- Excellent human relations skills; the ability to be flexible and sensitive to people's needs.
- Foreign language skills preferred - fluency in Spanish, French, Italian.
- Ability to establish a positive working relationship with individuals who possess a wide range of personalities and work styles.
- Ability to think and act in a proactive manner.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills; the ability to be flexible and sensitive to people’s needs.
- Ability to complete basic math and accounting functions.
- Physical ability to do occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and be able to stand for several hours.
- Ability to work the time necessary on-site to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
- Experience in detail-oriented work, with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to display a sense of urgency, ownership and accountability.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, as well as internet browsing.
- Must have access to a computer with those programs.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint a plus, but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills with experience in detail-oriented work.
- Experience in effective communication and relationship building.
- Ability to interact with all levels of client management.
