Barracuda Consultant

MetroSys

MetroSys is seeking an experienced Barracuda Consultant to assist with email migration efforts and provide ongoing support for email security and filtering systems. This role is ideal for a senior-level consultant who can independently assess the current environment, execute migration tasks, and provide best-practice guidance for long-term stability and performance. Plan and execute email migrations involving Barracuda email security solutions. Configure, optimize, and support Barracuda Email Security Gateway (ESG) or Barracuda Cloud Email Security environments. Assist with DNS updates, MX record changes, mail flow validation, and cutover coordination. Configure and manage spam filtering, email continuity, archiving, and security policies. Troubleshoot mail flow issues, delivery delays, quarantine management, and user access concerns. Provide recommendations for improving security posture, email hygiene, and policy enforcement. Collaborate with internal IT teams during migration planning and post-migration stabilization. Document configurations, changes, and best practices for ongoing administration.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting email infrastructure and security solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Barracuda email security products (cloud or appliance-based).
  • Strong understanding of SMTP, DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and mail routing concepts.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 or Exchange environments.
  • Ability to independently plan and execute migration cutovers.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Experience with hybrid Exchange environments.
  • Familiarity with email archiving and compliance configurations.
  • Prior consulting or project-based migration experience.
