Mortgage Processor IV
M&T Bank
• Reviews loan applications to assess qualification and restructures or recommends solutions • Responsible for clearing conditions on residential mortgage loan products • Maintain effective communication with all necessary parties • Work with various internal departments as well as external organizations • Immediately notifies all necessary parties of irregularities • Monitor, update and analyze credit reports, appraisals, income documentation • Support the origination department with administrative duties • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and guidelines • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand
Job Requirements
- Associates Degree or 4 years equivalent work experience
- 4+ years prior mortgage processing or underwriting experience
- Good PC skills with strong knowledge of Excel, Word, Email Platform and Adobe
- Proficient with all Retail Requirements, including all state specifics
- Ability to make sound decisions based on information provided
- Knowledge of Product, Investor and Compliance Requirements
- Strong analytical/mathematical background
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong work ethic, reliable and dependable.
