Job Description

Graduate Intern, National Political Advocacy – Justice National Campaigns

ACLU

• Assist with campaign strategy and operations to advance civil liberties and civil rights through multiple methods at the federal, state, and local levels • Assist with coordinating with other teams to move complex campaigns forward • Assist with research projects and developing strategic plans for events and campaigns • Assist with meeting scheduling, note taking, and attending coalition calls

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled graduate student
  • Demonstrated commitment to public interest law, civil liberties, ending mass incarceration, and challenging racism in the criminal legal system
  • Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to handle complex operational tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative, manage a variety of tasks and see projects through to completion

Benefits

  • Stipend available for students who are lawfully authorized to work
  • Arrangements can be made with educational institutions for work/study or course credit
  • $24/hr for graduate and law students or equivalent experience
